Early in my automation sales career, I was advised to tread carefully around IT people within a manufacturing environment. Back then, there were a lot of silos and distrust between departments. The control layer people wanted, well, control of their domain. Cybersecurity risks have necessitated change and cooperation. I'm excited to be part of a team that can assess the current state of a Plant floor network create an Industry 4.0 Roadmap based on facts and offer a plan to plan remediate gaps and threats. These are exciting times for the industry and for E Tech Group.
