I still remember my very first job as a flight stewardess with SriLankan Airlines. The excitement of traveling to new places was matched only by the challenge of making a positive impression on passengers and my fellow crew members. In those early days, I quickly learned that being likable wasn’t just about providing excellent service—it was about genuinely connecting with people. I started asking my colleagues about their day and their interests, listening actively and showing that I cared. It made a world of difference in building trust and rapport. Offering help became second nature, whether it was assisting a colleague with their duties or stepping in during a busy flight. These small acts of support were always appreciated and helped forge strong bonds within the team. A simple smile went a long way. No matter how tired or stressed I felt, smiling not only made me more approachable but also uplifted those around me. Maintaining a positive outlook, even in turbulent times, made the work environment much more pleasant and cohesive. And then there was the power of appreciation. Regularly acknowledging my colleagues’ efforts with a heartfelt 'thank you' or 'well done' created an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement. These gestures, though small, had a significant impact on our team dynamics. Perfect Your Resume: Tailor your resume to highlight relevant skills and experiences. Emphasize teamwork, adaptability, and a strong work ethic – all essential qualities in the yachting industry. Be Persistent: Landing your first job may take time and perseverance. Don't get discouraged by rejection – use it as motivation to keep improving and applying. it's Okay to Look out for Models to be employed as Cabin Crews and High profiled receptionists or Stewards but at the end of the day I don't think that's all that matters because I'm much more concerned about the Body language and facial expressions of that individual offering an exceptional service to different personalities from all walks of life. The Hospitality industry as a whole offers Services more than Tangible products and therefore Personnel Administrators in this our industry ought to make qualities/Passion to Service a priority while Recruiting Applicants. yes appearance is the first impression but what comes next???. it's important to take that aspect seriously because trust me that's why Most INTERNATIONAL flight attendants/Cabin Crews wouldn't understand their Job description and of course they don't deliver excellent services in most cases. #HospitalityStaff #CabinCrews #FlightAttendants #Aviation #Stewards #Porters #HospitalityIndustry #Hotels #Tourism #Airlines
