Starting a Career with less than a 4-year degree... This situation happens for many reasons; regardless, get into the job market and find a position that meets your field of interest. I began as a Technician, (1 of 8 Specialists) we were all "2 year degree technicians", but WE got the special, factory, design level training on how the latest, groundbreaking equipment was being designed, and, we got to install it and make it work......and fix it when it didn't. It was a time (in the 70s) when the transistor was the current "high tech" element.........the forerunner of the op-amp, and integrated circuit; my advantage, I was a hands-on guy, I was the guy who could fix most anything; usually, a loose wire was the problem in the 70's; in other cases, the output transistor on any amplifier circuit was the problem..........my career went from there, all the way to being Project Manager, of a Team of Field Service Engineers...monitoring and coaching customer labor forces to do what they do best, build, assemble, and test, and operate; it has been an exciting life style and career path.....my advice to you, dive it, and "get-ur Done!". You only have 40 years to mature, grow, and contribute to a successful, Team Spirited, leader of men, Do Your Job, let your crew do theirs!! #getstarted

Cohu Malaysia is the leading supplier of semiconductor test handlers and contactors and growing provider of automated test equipment, inspection and metrology solutions and data analytics software to optimize semiconductor manufactuing yield and productivity. I am very excited that got a precious opportunity to visit the Cohu Malaysia at 19 of jan 2024. Through this industrial visit i have an opportunity to know more about what the electrical enginnering  do in the factory in Cohu. For example, electrical engineer will design and customize electrical schematic and must meet the customer requirement. The most important thing is electrical engineer must having the  problem solving skill. In this industrial visit i also familiar myself to test handler and knowing how the test handler fuction. For example, i had been given chance to see the machine Ismeca NY32, 32 means that this machine got 32 pick up head and this machine is the turret platform used for semiconductor test, inspection and packaging. i had learnt also we must maintain curiosity by analysing things or asking effective questions. Cohu Malaysia stands out as a premier supplier of semiconductor test handlers and contactors, while also expanding its offerings to include automated test equipment, inspection and metrology solutions, and data analytics software aimed at enhancing semiconductor manufacturing yield and productivity. I am thrilled to have secured a valuable opportunity to visit Cohu Malaysia on January 19, 2024. This industrial visit provides me with a chance to gain insights into the responsibilities of electrical engineers within the Cohu factory. For instance, electrical engineers play a pivotal role in designing and customizing electrical schematics to meet customer requirements, emphasizing the importance of problem-solving skills in their work. During my visit, I familiarized myself with the operation of test handlers, gaining knowledge about their functions. An illustrative example is the Ismeca NY32 machine, where "32" denotes the presence of 32 pick-up heads. This turret platform is utilized for semiconductor testing, inspection, and packaging processes. Furthermore, I learned the significance of maintaining curiosity by analyzing processes and posing effective questions. This approach fosters a deeper understanding of the technologies involved in semiconductor manufacturing. Overall, this industrial visit is shaping up to be an enriching experience, offering valuable insights into the intricate world of electrical engineering at Cohu Malaysia. #CohuMalaysia
