It influences not only handling efficiency, but also customer satisfaction and carbon footprints. 📦 Good news for grocery retailers: for the most part, there is no need to develop new packaging for online retail to enable modern picking robots like RovoFlex to grip it reliably. We’re always taking snaps of inspiration out and about or on holidays. What you are seeing is a twist on vending in Troyes, France that pushes beyond basic convenience to dial up the ‘premium.’ High-quality, organic locally-sourced food in refrigerated dry lockers with a shopfront exterior that exudes just the right amount of opulence.    Customers can pre-order their selection online or browse in-store. It’s high-end without the sales pressure, the ‘checkout judgement,’ or time wasting queues.   What’s also clever is just how basic it is. There’s no complex machinery to go wrong (unless a flawed Windows update happens), no fancy robots – just pay, open the door, and go.

When we talk about efficiency, one key of success is to understand the importance of considering interactions between all equipments in the process. By considering, for exemple, how one equipment afects the other one, in terms of « real » output rates (and not just by « instant » rate, that’s inherent to the equipment itself) we can provide to our customers the confidence in the system that they are buying which it will meet their needs, in this exemple, for the rates specifically talking. That’s one of the part of the science behind « integrating » systems.
