Etsy CHRO Toni Thompson (Nadal) joined Semafor’s World of Work Summit for a panel discussion about work-life balance, and shared how our human-centered approach helps to create an environment where employees can feel engaged and supported. Toni highlighted the importance of investing in people leaders and crafting an employee experience that meets the needs of employees when it comes to driving high performing teams and building an equitable workplace culture. That includes programs and processes that allow people to take care of themselves and their families and provide employees the flexibility and resources they need to be effective. Etsy should engage in more effective communication with its sellers, providing them the opportunity to rectify their mistakes. If AI is to be used to manage the platform, it should not be employed to suspend accounts outright. Instead, Etsy should issue warnings and implement penalties without shutting down businesses. Suspending accounts disrupts livelihoods, as human errors are inevitable. This year alone, Etsy has negatively impacted millions of businesses due to minor mistakes. A more compassionate approach would support the community and allow sellers to continue thriving.

I really think you need to look at your team and who provides the finances for them to stay in there jobs, at present just on my specific sales and input regarding selling you have a new listing format that doesn't register old listings and we have to use the etsy app to relist, this for the likes of people that aren't tech savy this is most likely costing you $$ in offsite advert fees as sellers will end up creating new listings, You also have a high volume of scammers in regards to buyers, we've had a particular buyer who has claimed to not to recieve anything, they have 12 1 star reviews for claims to not recieve goods, tried it with us and fell flat once we asked for images of there door as ours are recorded, zero ways to report them and most likely costing you $$ since you offer refunds even when marked as delivered. Not the 1st instance either we caught 17 people yesterday claiming to not recieve as soon as we showed tracking they vanished, but again no way to report them or flag them and no way for even your support to flag them so again costing you $$, if this was on an item over $250 you would of taken it from us

Dear etsy support team, My shop: thasselmade has been suspended. I am selling designs that I make myself from scratch, the suspension happened suddenly. I hope you reactivate my account to back to selling, thank you.

Hello, I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out again about my Etsy shop, shoplalicorne, which was previously suspended. I contacted you earlier, and I was truly impressed by how the situation was handled—your excellent customer service and quick resolution confirmed that the suspension was an error. Unfortunately, my account was suspended again about 2 weeks later, despite making no changes since the reinstatement. As a new seller with only a few sales, this has been quite discouraging, especially as I’ve made sure to comply with all of Etsy's policies and terms of use. Could you kindly review this issue once more? I would be incredibly appreciative of any assistance you can provide. Thank you for your time and support! Best regards, Danielle Lynch
