Today is #NationalEntrepreneursDay, and I'm excited to share some insights with aspiring entrepreneurs. From a young age, I've been inspired to bring ideas to life. I've had the privilege of collaborating with brilliant team members, seeking guidance from mentors, and embracing the valuable lessons that come with both successes and failures. At just 14, I co-founded #CalcuttaYouthClub with my childhood friends. Later, I ventured into a joint venture in India with a US manufacturer of safety and security devices. Opened a new office for the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in Kolkata, India; with two of my best friends, we launched Veterans Engineering. I also had the honor of opening the first US office of SNV (NetherlandsDevelopmentOrganization) and initiated GlobeTradeNetwork, GlobalYouthInitiative, and MGR Professional Services, Inc. It's important to acknowledge that not every venture yielded the results I envisioned, and plenty of mistakes were made along the way. However, the wisdom gained from these experiences is truly priceless. Each challenge and setback has shaped me into a better version of myself, both personally and professionally. Thank you for the valuable lessons - Jennie. Lloyd Phil Brown Dirk Elsen Courtney Bickert W. Robert de Jongh William Reese Robert Baird Asok M. Neil Snyder and many others. My message to aspiring entrepreneurs: Surround yourself with those who inspire you and never stop pursuing your dreams. Your journey may be filled with twists and turns, but the lessons you learn will be your most valuable assets. President - GAME | Learner with a Growth Mindset | Unlocking Mass Entrepreneurship | Economic Growth & Social Impact | Turning Ideas into Action
Not the biggest reader? Me neither. However, the book Mindset by Carol Dweck changed my perspective on growth! Her idea of a growth mindset - believing you can develop your skills - is exactly what India's MSMEs (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) need to thrive. If our economy is a powerful engine, then MSMEs are the pistons powering it! They contribute a MASSIVE 30% to India's GDP and nearly half of our manufactured goods & exports. They're the heart of "mass entrepreneurship," inspiring everyday people to become business owners. The MSME journey is a marathon and look how far they have already come! With the right support & a growth mindset, where challenges are seen as opportunities and failures as stepping stones, MSMEs have the power to drive an economic transformation as impactful as the Industrial Revolution. The future is bright, and MSMEs will lead the charge! Let's fuel this engine and empower them to reach their full potential!
