In an era where AI and data privacy regulations are increasingly important, understanding the global regulatory environment is crucial. ComputerWeekly.com dives into the complexities of achieving full compliance and the challenges organizations face. "...the 'reality on the ground' is that organisations sometimes take a risk-based approach not only to how they do business, but to aspects of compliance, especially when there are grey or 'undecided' areas." https://ow.ly/WYvw50RShJ6 #Privacy #Compliance

🚨 X AI Model Grok Faces Scrutiny From GDPR European privacy advocate NOYB filed nine GDPR complaints against X for using personal data from over 60 million users in Europe to train its AI model, Grok, without user consent. Top 3 takeaways: 📝 The unauthorized data usage was discovered in late July 2024, with X failing to inform users or obtain their consent. 🇮🇪 Ireland’s Data Protection Commissioner reached an agreement with X to suspend data processing until September, but NOYB found this response insufficient and filed additional complaints. 💬 NOYB seeks clarity on why X did not inform users, what happened to the EU data already used, and why X is not prompting EU users for permission to use their data. #cybersecurity #news #DataPrivacy #x #gdpr #regulation #europe #kraven #KravenSecurity #adamgoss #cti #threatintelligence
