Hollow Metal Balconies Compartmentation A common but often overlooked detail in facade design is the fire risk posed by hollow steel balconies that span across dwelling units. 🔥 Without proper compartmentation, fire and smoke can spread horizontally within these cavities—much like they do in rain-screen cladding systems. While installing mineral wool cavity barriers may not be practical, stainless steel trays are a highly effective solution for compartmentation. ✅ Don’t compromise on fire safety! 🔒 Watch the full tutorial on the IAST YouTube channel for more insights.
