Led by the EUIPO - European Union Intellectual Property Office in cooperation with The ASEAN Secretariat the launch of the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package for Intellectual Property Rights (EU-ASEAN SCOPE IPR), an initiative to strengthen #intellectualproperty frameworks across #ASEAN, is announced. EUIPO, in the context of the EU-ASEAN cooperation project #SCOPEIPR, takes up the baton, continuing the legacy from previous projects also implemented by EUIPO, with renewed and improved objectives until 2028. It aims to harmonise #IntellectualPropertyRights systems, enhance collaboration and foster economic growth by aligning with #IPR global standards. At the event, the EUIPO shared its decades of expertise to address emerging #IP challenges and seize opportunities for advancing regional IP systems that promote sustainable economic growth. The EUIPO also presented updates on the SCOPE IPR project’s Annual Work Plan 1 and outlined plans for 2025. It was a pleasure to present to the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO) how we work in the Business Operations Department of the EUIPO - European Union Intellectual Property Office together with Birgit CESSY FILTENBORG, Ernesto Abarca, Irena Lyudmilova Lecheva and Sandra Kasperiunaite, during the study visit of the UANIPIO to the EUIPO organised under the auspices of the international project «Strengthening Intellectual Property Rights in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia» (#EU4IP), in which the Ukrainian IP Office (UANIPIO) participates. We had the opportunity to discuss different aspects of our practice in IP management with Bogdan Paduchak, Vladyslav Bilotskyi, Liubov Maidanyk, Andrii Abakumov, Oleksandra Kosenko and Marina Hepenko (Grishkova), with Dmytro Kondyk and Tetiana Terekhova posing very insightful questions that gave rise to some interesting discussions, and Mathilde Peninque connecting our practice with the initiatives falling under the scope of the EU4IP project. At the same time, it was great to have time to discuss with Khrystyna Posheliuzhna certain aspects of communications related to IP matters... all in all, a very fruitful morning spent in the company of great IP professionals, hopefully the first of many to come! #EUIPO #UANIPIO #EU4IP #Ukraine #IPRights #trademarks #designs
