This integration is pivotal, as a majority of installers currently implementing #wallbox solutions also offer #PV systems. This strategy underscores the critical nature of combining these key components within the framework of the #energytransition. The alignment of #chargingstations with #solar systems is essential to maximize cost benefits for end consumers, a reflection of the thoughtful and strategic approach within the industry. The economic impact of this trend is evident, with 10% of the revenue of surveyed solar #installers already being attributed to charging station installations. Remarkably, this group anticipates a substantial increase, expecting revenue shares to rise to an average of 15% by 2024. ☀ Recovering install costs for domestic solar panels currently takes ~14 years 👇 Customers can optimise efficiency to access the full potential of these systems, as covered below Analysis from John de Bono shows solar's payback period has remained at 12+ years, since Ofgem's Feed-in Tariff (FiT) payments were reduced in 2016. This peaked at ~18 years in Winter 22/23, when prices rose with demand during the energy crisis, but has since recovered. Optimising efficiency is key, whether that's by capitalising on lower per KW costs in larger installations, or cheaper new-build installations (compared to retrofit).
