This year, Shavuot and Eid al-Adha converge.
This year, we also find ourselves amid heightened tensions, ongoing hostage crises, and immense suffering on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In such times, true leadership is desperately needed.
Real leaders must break destructive cycles through wise actions and perseverance in negotiations. They exhibit compassion, even toward adversaries, while upholding core principles. This difficult balance of courage, restraint, and diplomacy is the only path to restoring safety and security.
During this reflective period, we wonder whether our leaders will find that narrow route to a negotiated resolution. If this opportunity is squandered, more suffering is inevitable. True leaders do not accept an unacceptable reality - they elevate society through their moral fortitude.
May the holidays grant clarity to those negotiating lives and futures. May we have leaders worthy of creating a new reality founded on security, justice, peace, and human dignity.
Wishing you a meaningful Shavuot and Eid Mubarak.
Sincerely, Positeam Consulting & Training Team.

Today on #IndigenousPeoplesDay, I join countless others in honoring Indigenous communities' resilience, culture, and hard-won victories. As a Black woman and descendant of enslaved people, living on lands shaped by both the histories of enslavement and dispossession, this day carries a special weight for me. It’s a reminder of how closely connected the fights for justice, recognition, and liberation truly are.
This holiday emerged in response to the legacy of Columbus Day, a celebration that for too long erased the truth of what colonization brought to Indigenous peoples. The push for Indigenous Peoples' Day began in 1977 at a UN conference, with Berkeley, CA, replacing Columbus Day in 1992. Since then, states and cities across the U.S. have chosen to honor this day—a crucial shift toward acknowledging painful histories and uplifting Indigenous voices.
I reflect on my own history, the shared struggle against the erasure of both Black and Indigenous experiences resonates deeply. The traumas of slavery and colonization intersected in ways that shaped so much of what we know about American history. Today is a reminder to not only acknowledge these pasts but also to actively stand with Indigenous communities who are still fighting for sovereignty, recognition, and healing.
We need to ensure we honor Indigenous Peoples' Day with more than words. For me, it’s about supporting the call for land back, promoting Indigenous-led initiatives, and recognizing the Indigenous land I stand on. Today, and every day, I commit to centering Indigenous stories and building solidarity rooted in shared resilience and a vision for liberation.

In Africa do we really build companies to develop and provide better opportunities for the people or we build companies to become gods and tyrannical leaders of society? The people who called themselves ceo across Africa especially Africa business owners become Gods and empirical leaders.
Sākṣī bhāva, or the ability to act as an impartial witness, is essential for leadership.
Part of Rājadharma, our śāstras are replete with advice on how to cultivate it. We need to relearn that message.
Watch R Balasubramaniam in conversation with Surendranath C explain how Indriya Nigraha works to attain sākṣī bhāva.

This is Palestine
Whatever we see in Palestine is a reflection of us and the world
You have to get closer to see your own reflection
In the process you will see your friends and your family through another angle, your job, your employer, your country, the world leaders, the system in place.
You’ll see emotions, you’ll see faith, through a different angle.
But if you don’t get closer, it’ll just be a shiny ball.
This is a year of reflection, of introspection.
So? Keep going and ignore the ball because it’s easy?
Or take a closer look and accept you might need to change some things?
Deep in thoughts
I would like to hear your thoughts on the attachment.
Anytime I see this, my mind goes back to countries that are considered to have 'Struggling' economies.
Most often, they rely on Foreign aid rather than FDIs or 'arguably both'
My concern is 'Nigeria', a land so rich and full with natural and mineral resources, should rather be a frontier in giving these 'Foreign' aid.
The question of #Leadership#Strategy#Productivity#Management slams me in the face.
I don't think the manpower to achieve the above is lacking, I however think it's a lack of will power by all stakeholders, the leaders and the led (followers are leaders, who were once followers. Leaders are the people).
We see, we know what can be done yet we remain same....
Hmmmmm
Are you a Leader or a King?
Alexander the Great is one of the greatest leaders in history.
He grew the largest empire ever knwon in his time. He led by example. He gave away the riches he gathered.
He only wanted glory.
The glory of outdoing his father. To prove himself the greatest warrior the world had known. But to what end?
When he went to invade an Indian Kingdom he was offered a treatise.
Porus said to him, "I will marry my daughter to you. You will inherit my kingdom". Alexander nodded along happy at the surrender.
"Come and live here and I will teach you to be a king".
Alexander exploded at him. I have conquered as far as man can travel. I am master of the world, what can you teach me?
"You're a conqueror" said Porus.
"You conquer every land and then you leave. You can conquer this land. But what for?"
"I'm a King.
I live here and make the land better for my people. The people prosper and even the animals are happy. They are better for my being King".
This came up in my conversation with Matthew Ward.
It seemed the perfect analogy to his ideas of leaders and managers. Leaders are like Alexander, restless and impressive, they change the status quo. Managers like Porus stabilise and make their land or companies better.
Leaders need a strong reason to justify the upheaval they bring about.
Managers make the everyday life better.

Sometime we wish for the good without knowing the consequences of it; but once our wish is fulfilled we learn the consequences of our wish. Therefore ancient Sages advised their disciples to be careful about wishing it while many stopped to wish anything. Read this story from Aesop's Fables about the dilemma of wishing kings and great leaders. #Motivational#ValuableContenthttps://lnkd.in/dnUaEkQy
All blindness isn’t a lack of sight, some are from the lack of vision. The greatest leader of all time, Jesus said, “If the blind leads the blind they both fall into a ditch.” It is possible for you to have sight but lack vision. Sight is a function of the eyes but vision is a function of the mind. If you follow a blind leader ‘one who lacks vision’ both of you will fall into a ditch and perish. Where there is no vision the people perish.

#one of the great quality required of a leader, is being a man or woman of unquestionable integrity. What is Integrity? Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.
#A leader can't go far or make more impact without having this strong quality called UNQUESTIONABLE INTEGRITY.
