In 2022, Klimaoprema d.o.o. 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 at our plant in Nova Gradiška. Our goal is to meet approximately 73% of our energy needs with solar panels. This initiative is part of our commitment to sustainable practices and reducing #environmental impact. By investing in #renewable energy, we are taking a significant step towards reducing our carbon emissions. This project not only helps us meet our energy needs in an environmentally friendly way but also sets an example for the industry of how businesses can operate responsibly. THE 3 C'S OF 2TEC2: OUR VISION ON SUSTAINABILITY Every day, we take action towards more sustainable flooring. We focus on three areas of activities to ensure impact, our 3 C's: Circularity, Care and Compliance. Discover the second C: Care.⁠ CARE 2TEC2 cares for the planet and the environment. We produce in the most responsible way, which means limiting our use of fossil raw materials and CO2 emissions. Here's how we do it: ✅We are 100% locally designed and produced in one single site in Belgium. Thanks to this integration, our CO2 emissions due to transport of semi-finished materials are minimal. ✅We have 3.154 photovoltaic panels on our buildings and a giant Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to capture and store renewable solar energy. Green energy makes up a 74% share of our yearly energy need. It’s no secret that SONAS is all about sustainability; it’s one of the overarching values of SONAS as a company, and a value we integrate at every level of our operations. SONAS Bathrooms are proud to announce the recent installment of 286 Solar Panels by Pinergy SolarElectric at our HQ showroom based in Ballycoolin, Dublin. As a building that is operational 24 hours a day, it is estimated that SONAS consumes 437,000kwh of electricity per annum. It has been a long-term goal of ours to reduce our energy consumption and what better way to celebrate World Green Building Week than by celebrating the news that SONAS has made that next step towards reducing our buildings' carbon footprint. So what exactly do these solar panels mean for us? Well, it is estimated that these solar panels will cover about 25% of SONAS yearly energy requirements, all generated from our own roof! This significant step not only reduces our environmental impact, but also brings SONAS closer to our sustainability goals.
