Pink is going blue! Are you familiar with carbon sinks and blue nature-based projects? Want to learn more? Hear real insights and practical examples from our panelists at the 11th annual World Ocean Summit powered by The Economist on March 12 at 14:30 WET in Lisbon Congress Center, Lisbon, Portugal. In the fight against climate change, blue nature-based projects play a critical role for marine ecosystems and as carbon sinks. Developing nature-based projects is a multi-stakeholder process including the local community, finance, policy, scientists and educators. Skill-building and meticulous project planning are currently lacking to ensure scale and long-term impact from blue projects. Collaboration is essential to achieving successful outcomes for the ocean. The ocean passionate Sandra Silva Silva, General Manager at Mary Kay Global in Portugal will share her views on the crucial need for collaborative efforts in marine conservation and for incorporating gender perspectives in blue-nbs. Moderator: Diana Denke, Co-Founder & CEO, Fair Carbon Speakers: Sandra Silva, Sian Rees, Associate Professor, social-ecological systems research, Plymouth Study Online University, Chip Cunliffe, Programme and Risk Director, @ORRAA https://lnkd.in/gJ8Pcpdy #blueeconomy #womenempowerment #womenleadership

Really enjoyable session at #WMXEurope today - New Age of Customer-Centric Logistics with some great subject experts: Patrick Frith of Avalara showed how the tricky world of x-border (thanks Boris☹️) can be circumnavigated with clever tech and a dedicated focus on customer experience. Marc Sarmiento showed why he is the 'Q' of Österreichische Post AG with some great customer segmentation and applied solutions from his box of tricks..... and I forgive him for putting me in older segment 😉. Matthew Jacques showed why ZigZag Global are the absolute experts in structured returns solutions with great insight into customer requirements and the interesting inter-relationship with merchant priorities....and now I know what 'reventory' is 😃. Last but not least Misko Kancko from Canada Post / Postes Canada showed he is not only an expert in Scottish Malt Whisky 🥃 but highlighted why top down leadership was imperative in driving a truly customer-centric organisation. Good luck in the next challenge Misko. Really insightful and really easy to Chair with such a nailed-on group - great fun 👍
Great to see our Chair Alan Barrie in action as a moderator at the World Mail & Express (WMX) Europe Conference alongside our CRO Peter Moniak discussing current challenges and change in the sector.

Cooperatives are such an added value to our communities, ecomomy, cultures, and future. Cooperatives - center people first. What’s good for all involved, pooling resources together to spread the good, what are acts that have sustainable effects, instead of refractive effects, decisions that work to better lives, not strictly profit from them. Coops exist in so many facets of our lives. Whenever possible - choose a Co-op! • Credit Unions (don’t have outside stockholders - members are the collective shareholders - decisions benefit the members/membership) • Grocery Co-ops (like PCC, Central Co-op) • Home care co-ops • Electric Co-ops • Agricultural Co-ops • Retail co-ops (Ace Hardware) • Worker-Owner Co-op (growing trend among businesses where owners are aging out and selling business to employees collectively) • Housing Co-ops …. And much more. Worth celebrating. Wanna have a positive impact - join a Co-op!
Join us tomorrow as we celebrate the 102nd International Day of Cooperatives! Under the theme 'Cooperatives Building a Better Future for All', we'll showcase the sustainable contributions of cooperatives worldwide.
