#Battery Day NRW 2025: Focus on future technologies Large-scale battery storage and start-ups in the spotlight The annual Battery Day NRW, a leading industry event for battery and energy storage technologies, will occur on April 1, 2025. The event will take place at the Eurogress in Aachen, where experts, companies, and scientists will come together to present and discuss the latest developments and trends in battery technology. The major international conference Advanced Battery Power will follow the Battery Day NRW. The conference is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWIKE). Large-scale battery storage: a focus of this year's conference A particular focus of this year's conference is on large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), which are considered a key technology for stabilizing electricity grids and storing renewable energy. Practical presentations and discussions will shed light on how this technology can contribute to the creation of a reliable and sustainable energy system. Anell as GEODE - The voice of local energy distributors across Europe member today had the chance to reflect on the association's activities done from the past year under 2024 GEODE General Assembly that no dubts has achieved fruitful engagements with members, stakeholders, and European institutions. It also has been highlighted key moments from GEODE events and several useul publications. All the achievemten have been possible by thanks the great Secretariat staff commitment when were start facing last year plans and also, we already are doing the upcoming year plans No dubts taht #Europe is at a pivotal point in addressing its electricity and gas sector challenges. With rising energy demands, the transition to renewable sources, and the need for grid modernization, all States members faces significant hurdles that GEODE will contribute to face it. Ensuring energy security, affordability, and sustainability requires collaborative efforts from all stakeholders. Investments in smart grids and innovative technologies are essential to overcoming these challenges. GEODE become as strategic asociation to pave the way for a resilient and green energy future for Europe. 

🆕ENTSO-E & ENTSOG publish joint electricity and hydrogen Interlinked Model   ENTSOG and ENTSO-E have published today their joint Interlinked Model (#ILM) 2024 progress report for public feedback. This report introduces a dual assessment method for electricity and hydrogen, plus key recommendations for integrated models in their Ten Year Network Development Plans (#TYNDPs).   Gerald Kaendler, Chair of ENTSO-E’s System Development Committee, commented: “To achieve EU targets in the most efficient way, it is essential to keep a full energy system perspective, viewing the future energy system as a System of Systems. The ILM is a key instrument in this regard, when assessing the value of infrastructure projects.’’   This report marks a milestone in coordinated system planning across sectors, in line with EU regulations. To reach the decarbonisation objectives set by the EU, the future energy system will be a System of Systems, based on strong cooperation between transmission and distribution.
