Yesterday we signed a model agreement with DFMG Deutsche Funkturm GmbH and Landeshauptstadt München for the use of city properties for the expansion of the mobile communications infrastructure. Particularly in urban areas like #Munich, it is a major challenge to obtain suitable space for the roll-out. This agreement shows how future-proof mobile communications coverage can be achieved in cooperation between the city and telecommunications companies.

We are excited to announce that Benoît R. has been appointed as the Chair of the "Road User Charging" Committee of the International Road Federation (IRF Global). The Road User Charging Committee’s chief aim is to offer #IRF members an opportunity to formulate policy and technological recommendations that support informed policy-making and lead to cost-effective solutions in those cases where Road User Charging meets clearly identified #mobility objectives and societal goals. In March 2022, I had the opportunity to participate in the 12th International Conference on Transport Survey Methods. The work I presented there : "Estimating Bus Passenger Mobility with Wi-Fi Data and Clustering", co-authored with Caroline Bayart, Patrick Bonnel and Nicolas Mony, has now been published in the journal Transportation Research Procedia. The full paper is available here : https://lnkd.in/enyuKr_K In this work, we demonstrate the replicability of the previously proposed methodology (https://lnkd.in/eVkjnpTu) to efficiently filter Wi-Fi data and use them to build Origin–Destination matrices. The findings provide interesting insights for data-driven decision making and service quality management in urban public transport.
