Very useful list of aspects you should not forget before applying to #HorizonEU. However, one of the most important ones is missing: get support from research managers! From inside your institution (like internal EU office or Research Funding unit), from regional support services (like ZEUSS - EU Service Saxony if you come from my region), from national contact points, and from other support structures. Each of them has a different approach and it's a good idea to mix and match.

I am looking forward to presenting my work on gendered effects in predictors of youth activism at the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) Conference and the ECPR European Conference on Politics and Gender in the coming two weeks. Get in touch if you would like to meet for a coffee and chat in Rome or Ghent ☕ In my paper, I examine the effects of reported interest and perceived efficacy and agency on young people's engagement in non-electoral forms of political participation. For young women, higher levels of internal efficacy and agency are associated with an increase in non-electoral participation. In contrast, young men’s non-electoral participation increases with higher levels of collective efficacy. #IAFFE2024 #ECPG2024 #YouthParticipation
