This method has proven so effective that it has garnered active discussion with the governmental level. The program is based on extensive experience and cutting-edge technologies. This work is especially important in pediatric oncology, where rehabilitation plays a crucial role in the recovery of young patients. In the future, this method could also be applied in traumatology. I'm excited to share our latest mini-review in the Annals of Palliative Medicine: "Re-irradiation Practice and ESTRO/EORTC Consensus Recommendations: 2023 ASTRO Education Panel." We see a growing need for standardized re-irradiation practices in oncology, driven by technological advancements like image-guided brachytherapy and stereotactic body radiotherapy. The European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) and the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) have developed a comprehensive consensus to standardize definitions, reporting, and clinical decision-making in re-irradiation. This includes: - A universally applicable definition for re-irradiation. - Detailed reporting guidelines to enhance research quality and reproducibility. - Emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centric approaches. These recommendations aim to improve the safety, efficacy, and quality of life for patients undergoing re-irradiation, paving the way for future research and refinement of treatment protocols in oncology.
