ATTENTION: Deadline Abstract Submission is postponed to January 22nd Our early bird registration has closed, but our abstract submission deadline is postponed. To submit your abstract for the #IDMC14 you must first register for the conference, leading to the opening of the abstract submission. The new deadline of submission is January 22nd. You may register here: www.idmc14.org We prioritize novel, unpublished work and allow a maximum of two abstracts per person. Furthermore, as you might have seen in our program overview, we have several topics you can assign your abstract to. Including a new format called 'fringe sessions'. We encourage you to apply for these sessions if you offer novel, unusual perspectives, showcase interesting unexplained findings, or defend out-of-the-box hypotheses. These sessions are particularly designed to engage the audience and foster interaction and discussion. We are looking forward to reading your abstracts and discussing your data in April 2024! #myotonicdystrophy #mdexpertisecentrum Radboudumc Maastricht UMC+

📚We proudly announce the launch of two EJP RD/IRDiRC groundbreaking publications that help pave the way for the future of research data sharing and information governance: 1: Getting your DUCs in a row - standardising the representation of Digital Use Conditions https://lnkd.in/gsYMhrz4 2: Common conditions of use elements. Atomic concepts for consistent and effective information governance https://lnkd.in/erxkH__u Together, these publications describe a comprehensive approach to summarizing and managing use conditions for biomedical resources. The DUC schema offers a structured way to collect and standardize information, while the set of common use condition elements ensures consistency and clarity. By assigning permissions and restrictions, and specifying the scope and details of conditions, research activities can be better aligned with institutional missions, funding objectives, and regulatory requirements. 🖇More information: https://lnkd.in/eTBPbVKD BBMRI-ERIC University of Leicester Gianni Benzi ONLUS - Pharmacological Research Foundation

📣 Third NRP 79 Annual Meeting in Lausanne: Focus on Implementation. Today marked a milestone as the 3rd Annual Meeting of the National Research Programme 79 unfolded in Lausanne with a focus on Implementation. Insights were shared on how to achieve implementation goals, navigate hurdles, and strategies to overcome them effectively. Researchers were introduced to a new funding opportunity by the SNF tailored for implementation projects, emphasizing their pivotal role as an extension to the ongoing NRP 79 research endeavors. Merel Ritskes-Hoitinga, chair of the Implementation Advisory Board (IAB), presented the idea and background of this innovative funding format. The day resonated with enlightening presentations on implementation, underlining the significance of considering the broader context alongside practical aspects. "It is important to look at the broader context and connect, research and share," emphasized Herwig Grimm, President of the Steering Committee. In the afternoon session, the 24 research teams attending the meeting engaged in group discussions, delving into challenging questions and collaborative problem-solving. The vibrant atmosphere fostered fruitful exchanges among attendees, making the most of every networking opportunity throughout the event. Getting the word out about a resource is not easy! No one wants to create something that could help people, only to have it sitting passively on a website. That's why the Clinical Research Glossary team at the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard (MRCT Center) is hosting another webinar on June 4th at 11 AM ET focused on: - lots of different ways that organizations across the research ecosystem have taken action to implement the Clinical Research Glossary; - inviting people from different communities and backgrounds to share their feedback on new Clinical Research Glossary definitions in June. I'll be joined by Sophia Zilber 🌺, Amy Mirabella PhD, RN, CHPN, Claudine Moore, and Holly Parker, all sharing their experiences. Clear communication about clinical research helps build industry trustworthiness and challenges misconceptions about science. Please join us and share, to help grow the glossary, and reach more people, organizations, and companies with this resource. You can register here:

February is one of three NIH R-series cycles, which brings a heavier volume of proposals to the department. As we transition to InfoEd we recognize that the use of InfoEd will be new to everyone. We ask that if you have a planned submission for the Feb 5th R01 cycle, please initiate a proposal record in InfoEd as soon as possible. We will be unable to accept proposals that do not meet a minimum of 10 business days prior to proposal submission deadline for proposals without subrecipients, and a minimum of 15 business days prior for proposals with subrecipients (e.g., collaborators at other universities). Note: Some collaborating universities require longer lead times. Proposal records must be initiated in InfoEd no later than Sunday, January 21, 2024 (Friday, January 12 if subrecipients are included on your proposal). Information regarding initiating your proposal can be found at: https://lnkd.in/gJpNAvzY. We appreciate your assistance and hope to see your proposals submitted and funded!
