Following are a few makeup tips to make your eyes look bigger and brighter 1. Define your crease Even if you're going for a 'no makeup' look, use a light brown shade to define your crease. 2.Eyeshadow Using a light coloured shadow will help make your eyes appear bigger. Ditching black and opting for brown smokey eyes may look much more flattering if you've small eyes. 3. Highlighter Use a highlighter on your brow bone and on the inner corner of your eyes to open up your eyes further. 4. Lower lash line Opt for a white or nude colour eye pencil on your waterline. 5. Lashes Curl your lashes and apply mascara. If you want you can apply false lashes too😍😍 #makeuphacks #makeupideas #makeuponfleek #eyes #eyemakeup #eyemakeupideas #nomakeup #nofilter #makeuptips #makeuptipsandtricks #makeuptime #instamakeup #makeuplover #indianwedding #shaadi #xowedding #makeuplooks #art #artistoninstagram #artist #makeupartist

Robin Schoen | Makeup Artist | Beauty Expert: Personalized masterful makeup applications in NYC and abroad.
The Weight Of Makeup ⚓️ The darker the #color the more "weight" or heaviness your makeup will have in that particular area. When you add darker tones or longer and heavier textures, they can shift that feature's direction entirely or create the illusion that it is fuller, denser, longer, deeper or more spacious. This also applies to lashes and other face adornments. The more #opaque and solid a color/texture is, the more attention you put on that area and the more prominent it will appear to be, as your eye will go right there. In photo #1, delicate #fauxlashes were applied and extended on the outer corners of the eyes (more weight there) to elongate the eye and lash line and overall eye shape. In photo #2, weight was added all over, layers of thicker, heavier, and more dramatic lashes were applied to both the top and bottom to maximize the size of the eyes, making them look larger and much more dramatic. Typically, gaining weight isn't something that we welcome however, from a makeup perspective, it can temporarily correct and even lift your face naturally when used correctly. #makeupmagic #justanillusion #powerofcolors @urbandecaycosmetics @theoriginalgangsta @iamdanielafreitas @katharinarembi #robinschoenmakeup

HOW TO KNOW WHEN ITS TIME TO GET NEW MAKEUP BRUSHES The life of a brush depends on how you use and treat them. Clean + dry them every week to get rid of buildup (and if that’s overly ambitious for you - try 3x a month) Here are a few signs you need fresh brushes: 1. Your brushes are visibly broken or shedding. 2. Your brushes are permanently stained from pigment (unable to be fully cleaned). 3. The bristles are frayed and unable to properly apply makeup. 4. Your brushes don’t return to their natural shape. 5. Your makeup doesn’t apply nicely anymore. 6. The bristles are super stiff, new brushes are luxuriously fluffy and soft. #makeupbrush #brushcare #brushcleaning #makeuptips #makeupbrushes #makeupbrushset #voniramakeupbrushes

Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder: A Makeup Artist's Perspective As a makeup artist, I've had the privilege of working with faces from all walks of life. Each canvas tells a unique story, and it's my honor to enhance the natural beauty that already exists. "Beauty in the eye of the beholder" couldn't be more true. What one person sees as flaws, I see as character. The freckles that dance across a nose, the laugh lines that frame a smile, the unique shape of every eye—these are the features that make each face beautiful in its own way. Makeup isn't about hiding who you are; it's about expressing your individuality. Whether you prefer a bold, dramatic look or a natural, understated elegance, your beauty shines through. The right touch of color and the perfect blend can highlight your best features and give you the confidence to face the world. Next time you look in the mirror, remember that beauty is subjective. Embrace what makes you unique, and let your true self shine. In the hands of a makeup artist, every face is a masterpiece waiting to be revealed. #BeautyInTheEyeOfTheBeholder #20daylinkedinchallengewithhaoma #growth #ajikebeautyempire #MakeupArtistry #UniqueBeauty #SelfExpression #ConfidenceBoost

Mastering the Balance: Flexibility vs. Standing Your Ground in Makeup Artistry As a Makeup Artist, I often find myself balancing being flexible with staying aligned with how I envision their best appearance It’s not just about creating a look; it’s about bringing out the best in people. Flexibility is crucial for building trust and maintaining strong relationships, but it’s equally important to trust my instincts and expertise. Just yesterday, while out with the kids at a rock climbing wall, I met an instructor whose warm skin tones sparked my creative vision. I could instantly envision how fabulous she’d look in some new makeup I was ordering—colors that might appear dull on me but would beautifully complement her complexion. I approached her and asked if she’d like to try out these new shades, and she was keen, especially as she’s about to start uni and isn’t sure what makeup to wear. I’m really looking forward to helping her explore these new looks and seeing how they enhance her natural beauty and boost her confidence. I’ve learned that gentle suggestions can go a long way in guiding clients toward the best outcome while still honouring their vision. The art of knowing when to adapt and when to stand my ground is something I continue to refine every day, and it’s this balance that ultimately allows me to help others shine. #MakeupArtist #CreativeBalance #Professionalism #Flexibility #StandYourGround #ClientRelations #MUA #BringOutTheBest #ArtistryAndBusiness

Professional Photographer | Personal Branding Photography that takes your brand & visibility to the next level | Empowering Portrait Photography
Text from client: ‘Which eye shadow palette would you recommend?’ Often clients and I keep in touch. Over the course of planning and completing a photo shoot, we would have spent a fair bit of time together and chat about many subjects. Makeup can easily be one of them as I offer makeover as one of the service elements. Often natural makeup colours for eyes and cheeks are in orange (the right palette here) or pink (the left palette here) based tones. Which one suits us better depends on our skin undertone - it’s the opposite that tend to work well. Say I have an orange skin under tone and I often go for pink based colours. Do you have preferred makeup colours that work well for you? #makeover

Contouring and highlighting is something that I still struggle with as a makeup artist. There are so many ways that you can contour a clients face or yourself. What kind of helps me is thinking of what contouring and highlighting does. For example, highlighting is what you want to enhance and lift. Contouring is adding a shadow to and creating definition to an area. A lot of common areas to contour is your nose, forehead and right under your cheekbones. Finding the right areas to highlight and contour can be a bit challenging but the great thing about makeup is all about what you like and not completely about what is right and wrong. Now there are techniques that will compliment someone's head shape than another head shape. Have fun with it! You can also use less product for a more natural look. Here is a guide that might help you figure out what you want to start with:
