Reflecting on #UNGA, as @Inter-American Development Bank Manager of the Office of Outreach and Partnerships, I cannot help but feel proud of the significant effort that culminated in the signing of six collaboration agreements with @United Nations agencies, including @FAO, @Pan American Health Organization @UNESCO, @UNOPS, @UNICEF and the @World Food Programme. These agreements will harmonize operating procedures and simplify hiring processes, enhancing the efficiency of joint development work between the IDB and @United Nations agencies while expanding the IDB's reach, particularly in fragile environments. Additionally, our team’s efforts led to a partnership between the IDB and @UNDP, making the IDB one of the first MDBs to access a UN-administered Multi-Partner Trust Fund, specifically the @Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF), which provides funding and technical assistance for improving weather forecasts, early warning systems, and climate information services. The last quarter of 2024 will bring new challenges and much work ahead. Let’s get started! Thank you to all our partners for the trust placed in the IDB!
