Getting to know SyNet’s Senior Systems Engineer, Michael Pinto Jr., who is celebrating his 15th work anniversary with us this month! Michael started with us as a Lead Technician back in May 2009. “At that time, a client had called in to SyNet for specific questions related to security”, Michael recalled. “I had prior experience in that area, so I took the call and was able to help the customer with everything they needed.” Michael went further, “Inside of that first year with SyNet, I started running projects – specifically those with security and surveillance specifications.” As SyNet became progressively more self-performing in these concentrations, Michael’s position evolved and soon morphed to Systems Engineer. When asked about his most memorable project, Michael was quick to respond, “They’re all memorable.” He then paused to reflect and added, “I would say more so than a specific job being memorable to me, it is the unique challenges within the projects that I find most rewarding and memorable.” Michael then pulled out some older notebooks from his onsite evaluations, and while flipping through the hand-written entries he highlighted specific challenges he encountered in making systems work over the years … building restrictions, space limitations, mounting surfaces and locations – just to name a few. On a typical day one can find Michael immersed in the behind-the-scenes work that goes into assessing, designing, building, testing and finally, educating the Lead Technician who will be the onsite installer of the system he created. Michael said, “The systems I design are user friendly, but I am only a phone call away when there are questions or when help is needed.” Finally, when asked what advice he would give to others Michael replied, “Don’t quit. Figure it out. Don’t look above the task, rather look at the task – keeping in mind not to make it more complex than it needs to be. Too often the simple solution gets overlooked – so take your time and you will find the way.”

https://lnkd.in/eZz9BBHA Our TELSEC CEV Panel Makes Controlled Environmental Vaults the "Chillest" Place in Telecom Let's be honest, telecom vaults aren't exactly the Taj Mahal of real estate. They're often cramped, concrete dungeons filled with enough blinking lights and whirring fans to make a disco jealous. But hey, these unsung heroes keep our internet humming and our 911 calls connected. The problem? All that equipment generates a lot of heat, and heat + sensitive electronics = a recipe for disaster. That's where Quest Controls swoops in like a knight in shining armor (or should we say, a technician in a flame-retardant jumpsuit?). They offer a whole suite of products specifically designed to keep your telecom vault cooler than a cucumber on ice, including the industry-leading TELSEC® CEV Panel. Here's why Quest Controls is the HVAC hero your vault needs: — They Speak Your Language: Forget deciphering hieroglyphics on a thermostat. Quest Controls offers user-friendly monitoring and control systems, including the TELSEC® CEV Panel, that even your least tech-savvy technician can understand. — Built to Last: Telecom vaults aren't exactly known for their luxurious accommodations. Quest Controls products are tough enough to withstand the bumps, bangs, and occasional rogue possum that might find its way into your vault (hey, it happens!). — Remote Access: Who wants to spend all day babysitting a thermostat? Quest Controls allows you to monitor and adjust your vault's temperature from the comfort of your office (or your service vehicle while you’re at another site that doesn’t have a Quest controller). — Energy Efficiency: Keeping your vault cool doesn't have to cost a fortune. Quest Controls' systems are designed to optimize energy use, saving you money and helping Mother Earth do a happy dance. So, if your telecom vault is starting to feel like a sauna, don't sweat it (literally). Quest Controls has the products and expertise to keep your equipment happy and your network running smoothly. Because let's face it, a world without memes and cat videos is a world we just don't want to live in. #cev #telecomInfrastructure #infrastructure #communications #precastconcrete #broadband

💼 WORK EXPERIENCE 💼 This week we have hosted two work experience students at our National Distribution Centre! The students have been shadowing our staff, learning about the industry and our business by gaining an insight into all aspects of our company. As part of our growth and our future planning, we want to become a company which is highly respected in the local community, and hosting students from schools and universities at our headquarters is a great way for us to encourage the younger generation to pursue a career in the Lighting industry. 📣 One of the students said of their time with BELL Lighting: "In the past week I have learned different things [.] I have learned how they process orders and how they deal with customer questions [.] I also learned many things in QC, like how BELL test their products and how they check for faults. I chose BELL Lighting as I thought it would be interesting to learn about their processes [.] I like electronics and in the future I want to be an electrician." Many of our staff members have given up their time to help our visitors this week, and we appreciate their efforts. Learn more about us: https://bit.ly/3zz9Zng #belllighting #lighting
