Overcome Your Restriction with EV's Optis Infinity IVC After removing the downhole safety valve to assess the temperature and pressure during gas injection, an operator in Italy was unable to reinstate the safety valve successfully, meaning that the well was unable to return to production. In order to resume production quickly it was vital that the operator had clear insight into the conditions of the well to choose the correct method of remediation. To get a comprehensive understanding of the issue at hand EV's Optis Infinity IVC technology was deployed on E-Line. The Optis Infinity IVC combines EV's trademark high-definition array camera technology with multi-finger caliper data, resulting in a more complete answer than a standalone video or mechanical caliper survey. This case study shows how EV’s Optis Infinity IVC and ValveVA enabled an operator to plan for the reactivation of their well after a prolonged shut-in period through diagnosing the cause of a safety valve that would not set. After facing numerous wellbore challenges, a well in the North Sea faced a period of non-production. Following the operator's most recent intervention aimed at restoring production to the well, multiple unsuccessful attempts were made to insert a safety valve.
