I had a founder ask me why they weren’t getting any good applicants for their job openings. I see this a lot with companies, so I’m pretty familiar with the patterns. For a company going through this, the perks of their roles, pay, and projects were actually really good! Great work schedules, great pay, remote opportunities, good team reviews, everything was there. Here was the problem: they were not actively involved at all in the community they were serving. Everything about the company was self serving. They didn’t actively engage in or create discussions within the creative community. They weren’t assisting job seekers with things like portfolio critiques, industry info, or anything else. They had no referral bonus system. A ton of things were missing. When you are involved, the community tends to reward you for your efforts. For any other founders going through this, start getting your company more involved within the community and watch the resumes you want to see start landing in your lap.

Here are my "two cents" on how to get more clients as technical/IT recruiters, these tips can also help recruiters in general and other businesses that require getting more clients. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐨 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 1. Position yourself as a trusted advisor and consultant. Make problem-solving posts, write articles, and do podcasts and video content. 2. Focus on a specialized niche for your candidate pool so that you can target and present your candidates to clients seeking such specialists. A client would be looking to work with an expert who can fill a role as fast as possible. 3. Study the technique and art of selling. A good recruiter should be great at business development and sales. 4. Always focus on the decision makers of the company and don’t be afraid of getting rejected. To successfully defeat the fear of rejection you need to experience rejection.| 5. Ask more questions, especially the right questions. And even when the hiring manager will not use your services, ask them their reasons and grow from there. 6. Clients are people like you and I, confidently reach out to them and talk to them like people, not in a business discussion way but with the aim and attitude of adding value to their company. 7. Don’t copy what every other recruiter is doing, niche down, focus, and get better in your area of specialization, be different! Now goes through linkedin and ignores the posts that talk about remote job openings. Might repost but don’t care to read them. It is not because I don’t care. I do. However, no one will hire me because no experience and I don’t have much on my resume. It also seems that there are not enough remote jobs for me apply to or all the remote jobs are not entry level jobs. You might say why not in person or hybrid job? Can’t. I must have remote job due to disorder.

Finding and hiring a #softwaredeveloper can be intimidating. Especially when you do it for the first time. Do not worry! Just follow these simple steps: - Create a candidate profile The first three things you need to determine are crucial technology knowledge, additional technical skills, and level of seniority. In addition, you should understand what work the developer will perform, what results you expect from this employee, whether this person will perform additional roles (mentor, team leader), and for what period I plan this cooperation.   - Look into the market When you decided to turn your business idea into a real product, you undoubtedly did market research. A similar procedure will not be superfluous here. However, instead of researching your competitors, you'll need to delve deeper into the world of supply and demand in the IT job market. Check popular IT destinations and salary medians for senior specialists in popular programming languages.   - Create a hiring funnel Recruitment funnels (or hiring funnels) are a very useful tool (especially if you plan to #hire more and more people with time. Although the funnels may differ depending on the company, vacancy, and even the candidate themselves, there are usually 4 main stages that every funnel includes sourcing and selecting, evaluating, interviewing, and #hiring. Simply put, your main goal is to get as many potential candidates as possible in the beginning and then narrow down the number at each stage. - Set the proper #recruitment process In general, a good hiring process is fast and simple. Establish a few good rules: have a clear budget for hiring, prepare for interviews, and act quickly.    - Hire and onboard When you finally find the one you've been looking for, you may feel like the process is over. However, this is not the case. Although the probationary period can sometimes be a deterrent to candidates, it is generally a normal practice and in many countries. This period is a great opportunity to see if you are satisfied with the quality of work and professionalism of the #candidate, as well as if this person fits into the team and corporate culture. As for the onboarding procedure, it is simply necessary. No matter how experienced a software developer is, they need time to adapt and understand a new job. Time is money during hiring! For some reason, people ask me to help them look for candidates to hire. And because I am connected to a lot of young talents, I am always happy to help. But in this entire process there is a lot of to & fro that happens between me, the employer and the interested candidates. So, whenever you are sharing an opportunity next time, save your money aka time by mentioning the following: - Your company's name - Company description: A little about your company or mention your website or any socials you are active on - Job description: Mention clearly what is expected out of the candidate - Expected qualification of the candidate - Location and mode (offline or remote) - Working hours & days of working - Salary bracket or range: Yes of course it depends on the candidate, but you must have thought you would pay a certain amount for this role, so please mention that. - Point of contact: Where are they supposed to send their resume? Share an email address or a phone number to accelerate the process. Pro tip: Make a google form with all information in description. You will get all information at one place and the email remains clean. You will eventually have to answer these questions, so keep them prepped already and save everyone's time. After all, what really constitutes a classified entry-level job as being truly entry-level? It seems employers and job applicants have widely varying ideas of what the term really means. For some employers, entry-level involves having at least three or four years of experience, according to job adverts on popular job boards such as Indeed.com and LinkedIn. But for many candidates, like you, starting out with their careers can be difficult if all entry-level jobs require the same three or four years of prior experience.
