We are heading into another record-breaking month at Crisp, which means all hands on deck in our warehouses, hubs, offices and delivery vans. Last week my team organized another warehouse hackweek, during which we dropped all regular projects to focus solely on implementing some great ideas from the people that use our software every day. These ideas range from fixing minor annoyances and bugs, tweaking the UI or swapping around steps in a process to make it much more efficient. It’s feels very fulfilling to deploy several of these improvements every day. And the end result is a warehouse supercharged for the busiest time of the year. To make sure all our customers get the best ingredients delivered exactly on time for the Christmas dinner, we’ve already opened up the delivery slots for those days earlier than usual. The entire company is stepping up to support the effort during that long weekend. This also gives us desk-bound types a chance to actually experience the warehouse and delivery processes and use the tools for ourselves. Who knows, you might even find me ringing your doorbell if you placed an order somewhere in the south. 🛎️

Was Prime Day(s) a huge success? The big event has come and gone, and we finally can take a breath. But the insights we’ve gathered are just heating up. Looking back at Prime Day’s impact: • In 2022, savings hit $1.7 billion with over 300 million items sold. • In 2023, customers saved $2.5 billion and bought 375 million items. • This year, Prime members purchased over 200 million items 😧 This shows how Prime Day is scaling and showcasing both opportunities and the intense competition among sellers to make the best out of this event. And the feedback from sellers varies wildly. Some sellers had fun with record sales, while others stumbled over hurdles. Understanding these mixed experiences is key since they not only reflect how it went for sellers in general but also guide us in preparing more effectively for future events. So, McDonald's wants to add 100 million active users to its loyalty program by 2027, increasing sales attributable to those users to $45 billion. 😲 😲 😲 😲 And here’s how the C-suite plans to do just that... Measurement and reaction to what it calls it's “known customer base”. This is MASSIVE. At the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, on a panel Ian Borden & Morgan Flatley talked about marketing being respected by the business, but not fully understood. Now, by focusing on the retained market, McDonald's has patrons, fans, investors almost. And can react to them creating in their own words, "fan truths". These are measurable moments of calculated surprise and delight. #Marketing teams, you heard it here first. And they aren't my words (even though I've been banging the drum on this for some time now) you can measure, grow and develop a retained customer base. Keeping #finance happy in the process. Walmart continues to lean into creators products with new Feastables placements in all stores. For those of you who don’t know, Walmart resets chocolate twice a year, the first one being in Week 10. With the new reset came a drastic change in the amount of facings that Feastables has in Walmart for 2024. If you walk into a Walmart this week you should notice not only the new bars, but the sheer amount of product in each store, which we’ve been working on for the last 10 months. Here are the new changes you'll see soon: 1️⃣ Double-facing of each chocolate bar SKUs in the aisle 2️⃣ Arrival of multipack SKUs: 5-pack (35g) in peanut butter and milk chocolate, and 60g variety packs 3️⃣ 4-foot front of store in the trending section, lunchboxes with Feastables branding 4️⃣ Placement in more checkout lanes If any of you see Feastables on the shelves, send a picture to me 🍫 #creatoreconomy #feastables #walmart #cpg

🔥 🔥 🔥 Instacart Ad Tip 🔥 🔥 🔥 I have been using Instacart ads since they first came out and I ran an experiment last month. I was shocked at the outcome. I cut the budget in half and lowered all the bids by a lot. On most channels, this would destroy sales. NOT the case here. I got nearly double the traffic and sales actually went up 30% but the clicks were so much cheaper. I think it is because this channel is not flooded with competition yet. Overall Instacart ads are a great way to directly increase sell through in retail and much more effective than anything I have tested for retail. #retail #digitalmarketing #instacart Happy Selling! -Brandon
