Empowering the Journey for Military Veteran Women Business Leaders | Leading Teams to Victory through Masterful Coaching | Serving the Community
In the latest episode of Houston Business Radio, Trisha Stetzel sits down with Kristen Day, Kristen's journey with firearms began in her teenage years with a Basic Firearms class at the San Diego Police Department, sparking her passion for shooting and self-defense. After moving to Virginia with her military family, Kristen transitioned to 9mm firearms and continued target shooting. Later, her husband's job took them to Texas, where she started a business and joined a local ladies' shooting group. She became an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer (RSO), and started participating in shooting competitions like IDPA, USPSA, and Steel Challenge. Through social media, Kristen has become a go-to resource for friends seeking advice on firearms. Helping Organizations Become More Customer Centric | Mentoring Tomorrow's Sales Leaders | Always a Student
The Denver Broncos lost a legendary radio host this week. When I heard this, I started reflecting on what makes someone a "legend" in the radio business. I came up with three key things I believe are key to someone rising to a legendary status in this industry: 1. The ability to build connections with their audience through listening, interacting, and appropriately responding to the audience they work with. 2. Being able to tell a compelling story using just the facts in front of them. 3. Being flexible with what they might want to do or say when current events dictate the need to quickly pivot to a new storyline that their audience cares more about. When put into this lens, being a radio host is very much an accurate analogy to running a successful business. The most successful businesses listen to and interact with their customers and communities in a positive manner, they excel in telling a compelling story of how their product or service improves people's lives, and they are constantly monitoring changes in their competitive environment to make sure that they are always ready to pivot on a moments notice WHEN things ultimately change. Hopefully one day business leaders look at Larry Zimmerman's career as an example of how to engage an audience and roll with a constant flow of information. If you are looking for better ways for your business to better listen to customers and/or to better act on the feedback you collect, please check out Alchemer or reach out to me personally. We would be happy to help your company follow in Larry Zimmerman's example! #Alchemer #AlchemerSurvey #AlchemerDigital #AlchemerWorkflow #customerexperience #customerengagement #companyculture #customerservice #companyvalues #companygrowth #companyculturematters #companysetup #customercare #customerfeedback #customerappreciation #employeeengagement #marketresearch #marketing #hr #cx #product #customersupport
