My question would be whether the GoSun EV Solar Charger could still be effective in countries like the UK - a not-so-sunny climate. And yes, it could be; albeit, its efficiency might vary due to lower sunlight levels and more frequent cloud cover. However, solar panels can generate power even on overcast days, at reduced efficiency. To maximise effectiveness in less sunny regions, the design could include features like energy storage (batteries) to store power for use when sunlight is scarce. Additionally, pairing the solar charger with other energy sources or charging methods can provide a more reliable solution. Overall, while it may not produce as much energy in less sunny climates, it still offers a sustainable charging option.

☀️ 𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲! ☀️ At Lufthansa Technik, we're committed to reducing our carbon footprint. With our largest operation site, the Hamburg base, accounting for about half of our emissions, it's central to our decarbonization efforts. Our goal is to make our Hamburg site carbon neutral by 2045. One way we're working towards this objective is by installing a photovoltaic system. Covering approximately 1,300 square meters with around 660 solar panels, this system is now operational and boasts a capacity of 300 kilowatts peak. It’s expected to generate around 265,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, enough to power over 130 single-family homes annually. We also have plans to install additional photovoltaic systems on a new building, aiming to produce between two and four gigawatt-hours of solar power at the Hamburg site in the future. 🔋⚡ This is a positive step towards making our site more sustainable, and we won’t stop here. The key to our long-term success lies in further reducing our electricity and energy consumption. We're already making progress in this direction, such as switching to LED lighting. Ultra fast charger with unique energy storage system 🔋⚡️ ️ At restaurant De Zingende Wielen in Den Oever (North Holland), we installed an ultra fast charger of 240 kilowatts combined with a 600 kilowatt-hour battery. The battery temporarily stores energy to be used for a later charging session. This relieves the electricity grid at peak moments and allows it to meet the charging needs at other times. Thanks to this smart solution, we make fast charging possible in an area with severe grid congestion.
