I am looking for a motivated and dynamic Student Engagement Intern to help bring art to the student communities in Gainesville! ********TIP: DO NOT wait to send an email to potential recommenders. I would make moves by the end of THIS WEEK to request their support for a potential internship! At the end of your email, you can offer to follow up with your recommender (if they agree) with a preliminary cover letter (even if it is a detailed outline) and some bullet points of potential ways they can highlight your achievements in their recommendation. Some instructors are on nine-month contracts, so they may be checking email less frequently -- if you believe an important recommender's response may be delayed, stay in touch with the internship coordinators (myself and my colleague Ana Gamboa) You can use your recommender's response time to consider what department you'd like to work in, what skills you want to either GROW or HIGHLIGHT, and how it will affect your future. MORE INTERNSHIPS WILL BE POSTED LATER THIS AFTERNOON! Use this time before they're live to write down a list of the things you'll need for a complete application!

I once did an internship where all i did was go on errands for everyone. It was also unpaid. From the first week I already knew this wasn’t what I wanted but I pushed through. The next school holiday I scrapped out internship and went to learn makeup. I really loved makeup and I still do. I used this skill quite a number of times and earned money to get myself things I wanted. Let’s be honest, nobody wants to be an executive director without the money that comes with it. Did you know that Jolos offers internships? 🙈 Since 2023, Jolos has created a different kind of internship program that benefits everyone. Four interns have the opportunity for 3 months to gain a unique insight into the life of a creative agency and acquire real hands-on experience in event marketing. What makes Jolos internship different from others? 🤔 "We strongly believe that it's important to combine practical experience with theoretical knowledge, understanding why we do things a certain way,” says the program leader and project manager Taavi Tõnnison Jolos internship program takes the interns in three different directions: - Production - which focuses on bringing together the concept of the event with all of its components - Creative - which focuses on the creation of the concept of the event - Brand Team - which focuses mostly on all of the graphic and design parts of the event After the initial division of directions, we map out the necessary basic knowledge, which includes five theory lectures with homework to see how well interns understand the topic at hand. The internship ends with a final exam, where interns are tested and must show what they have learned and how they would organise an event themselves. 🎓 To pass the exam successfully, a comprehensive creative solution, a budget, CVI, and production materials (technical schedule, program, list of partners, team mapping) must be created and presented to the Jolos team. To find interns we, look for enthusiastic young people through the magic and power of social media. 🔍 Previous years have shown to be super successful with more than 60 candidates. 🎉 When making the decision previous experience isn’t the most important.
