Our team designed and installed over 500 custom perforated aluminum panels, giving the parking garage a striking rippled effect. The champagne powder coating provides a sleek, modern finish. Eventscape was honoured to work on the engineering, fabrication and installation of 3 special features at the Great Canadian Resort Toronto including the parking garage: exterior perforated panels. Luxury Product Designer | Interior Designer | Commercial Designer | Lighting Installations | Public Sculpture Designer- Artistic design to brighten the future of 21st century living. Changing our experience with time.
When designing installations for buildings with rich history and character, I draw inspiration from the architecture itself, ensuring that the artistic vision harmonises with the client’s needs. For this project, the creative challenge was to transform the entrance space into something exciting. The natural inspiration came from the spiral staircase within the disused chimney stack, channeling its energy flow into the foundation of our new artistic installation. The installation mirrors the staircase’s unique structure, integrating dynamic, digitally controlled lighting that pulses in colorful waves, echoing the flow of people throughout the building. In collaboration with Artistic Statements, this installation celebrates the union of physical architecture and technological innovation. #installation #commercial #commercialconstruction #commercialinteriors #commercialinstallation #lightinstallation #artinstallation #art #lightart #lightinstallation #lighting #lightinstallations #commercialproject #commercialdesign #spiralstaircase

How much would you pay for transforming the way you live? It’s the recurring hawk (vulture rather) over our architects (and all Consultants) heads. The million pound question, the subject of many disagreements and incomprehensions with clients. Who in turn often add a veil of unnecessary choking pressure over the whole orchestra of consultants.. I often ask potential clients what car would they want to drive when relating to the final outcome of a project. A Ferrari, an Audi or a 1982 fiat panda (mind you, the 4x4 took me once up very steep hills to a marble quarry in Tuscany, it’s a cracking machine..!). They often smile at the comparison, then they go quiet as soon as they understand it.. but you could use a table or a chair as vehicle to convey the comparative scales of costs and decisions one would need to go through. It could take some time to think through and make the table you want. Or you can just buy it at Ikea. Or Mdf Italia (love their tables). Consultants fees cover the time spent in assembling the various piece of a project, but that alone is not enough. A project is a journey of exploration and discovery, of dealing with the emotional vagaries of the ensemble involved. It’s about being able to orchestrate the ups and down of everything which goes into a project, material and immaterial. Did you know that the glass boxes of this façade are entirely bonded using structural silicone? This highly transparent façade at the P.C. Hooftstraat 138 – designed by UNStudio – in Amsterdam features complex, curved elements with detailed glass connections and bespoke non-orthogonal steel and glass doors. The boxes start flush with the adjacent buildings and cantilever 250 mm outward while curving upward. Slender stainless steel elements wrap around the glass, provide edge protection and emphasise the curved geometry. The combination of the curved shapes in stainless steel, glass and the silicone bonding had to be perfect. Therefore, all came down to the exact millimetres - from the silicone bonding to the glass and steel joints, the steel frame and on-site installation. We did extensive iterative calculations to ensure that the structural silicone can accommodate the high tensile stresses as the glass cantilevers outwards, the tolerances in temperature differences and tolerances between the curved glass and the stainless steel (about 2 mm in all directions). The result is architectural and structural engineering masterpiece. Design Domains: - Architecture is design in 3D space (static) - Lighting Design is design in 3D space + time (dynamic) Light is naturally dynamic. Ever-changing: firelight, sunlight, moonlight. Not so long ago, electric lighting was switched on/off. Equivalent to a stuttered stop-motion film's approach, this meant limited potential for dynamic transitions. Now, light's dynamism can be articulated through a series of scenes, and the transitions themselves are important - they help convey a story that unfolds - over time. Integrating the element of time into lighting design brings internal and built environments to life through dynamism. #designthinking #design # architecture #light Photo: Unsplash

There is a notable distinction between V-Ray and Lumion. In my experience, Lumion excels in delivering faster renders with good quality, making it particularly suitable for the conceptual stage of projects. I have been using Lumion for over seven years, starting from my university days. However, for achieving highly realistic renderings and superior quality, my preference leans towards V-Ray. What do you think guys? #Architecture #design #render #Lumion #V-Ray
