It goes without saying that this act of vandalism is desperately sad. The setting, including the tree, is hugely important to the people of old Northumbria. An extension of that sadness for many is that it was only so prominent and iconic due to it being the only tree left standing in the area. There has been so much ecosystem damage done nearby in the region with vast swathes being treeless, drained, 'managed' and held in a degraded stasis for little reason. On a positive note, this means that there is huge potential in the region for large scale rewetting, reforestation and ecosystem improvement that we will all benefit from and enjoy. Hopefully, a legacy of this awful incident will be the stimulation of discussion focused on how rich and diverse woodland ecosystems (i.e. not just 'tree planting') can be revived locally where the tree once stood, and in the region more widely. https://lnkd.in/eXt44VgG

Sure, here's what 90 seconds takes: brainstorming the concept before landing on one that hits finding volunteer actors in your agency (and sometimes your house) drafting a rough script and storyboard searching closets for props buying supplies (mulch and donuts!) setting up equipment for the shoot 45 minutes of actually shooting the video downloading files whilst eating donut editing video finding that book from the Premiere Pro class you took 5+ years ago a moment or few of mental reset when it's obvious this thing is not getting down anywhere close to 30 seconds adding burned-on captions and closed captions crafting a caption and scheduling post

The Yellow Stonefly Nymph is the 3rd fly in the series of 6 flies for the upcoming group trip to Oconee State Park in South Carolina. The next three flies will be dry flies for this trip. Stonefly nymphs are aquatic, flattened, with 6 sprawling legs and with a segmented abdomen bearing 2 long antenna-like “tails” (cerci). The antennae on the head are long, too. Gills are tuft like and usually positioned at the bases of the legs, on the underside of the body. Each foot has 2 claws. The lengths of the nymph are ½ to 1½ inches.

So when commercial fishermen go out they usually take a crew of about 3 to 6 guys to handle the potential catch. Yes some boats have more depending on how large it is and how many fish that they harvest from the sea. They when they are loaded up or our of bait, they return to shore and drop off their payload, which then goes into a factory where many staff are waiting to process the harvest. Now I don’t know the process in a fishing factory but working a decade in lumber now doubt it works similarly. The fish must be separated into species, grades, sizes, and what not. And before I move on, the season of fish runs do, no doubt determine what process is used in the factories. So but now back to the fishing story and the point of this tale. A few peeps catch a large amount of fish, which is then processed by more people than who caught them. Works the same in mining or the lumber industry whereby a few harvest the lumber in comparison to the many that process the lumber in a lumber company. Back in my day 1981 – 1990 we had about 900 staff in just one location processing the lumber. We would never see 900 people up in the woods cutting down trees and driving them down to their final destinies for just one company. I am getting down to my point, a point that has been made in several other messages, and that point is…drum roll please… We should not be sending out the whole church to do the fishing for men and equipping so few to care for the harvest once it comes in. Ha, ha do you see it now?

⚱️ increasingly growing: cremations ⚱️ In 2020, cremations in Italy were 247’000, approximately 33% of total deaths. It is a constantly growing phenomenon, just as crematoriums, currently around 90 nationwide. 👮🏻♂️ Due to the fast growing factor, have also increased checks by the mortuary police, and in some regions of Italy such as Veneto they have banned the burning of painted coffins. ⚰️ Our coffins can be cremated despite having applied a film on the raw wood, because they are made of eco-friendly cellulose. #coffin #casket #funeralservice #funeral #urns
