CEO and Founder at Evernow. Building the future of healthcare for women 40+ starting with menopause.

Menopause, Alzheimer's, and Hormone Therapy: A Triad Impacting Wellness, Workplace, and Wealth Takeaway: Just released research on over 6 million individuals unveils that initiating Hormone Therapy during #Perimenopause or early #Menopause can reduce Alzheimer’s and Dementia risk by 30%. Menopause doesn't just signify a hormonal shift but plays a pivotal role in women's long-term cognitive health. The ground-breaking research by Lisa Mosconi illuminates the profound impact of Hormone Therapy (HT) in mitigating #Alzheimer's and #Dementia risk when initiated early (journal pub here: https://lnkd.in/gWTAK5rB) As a PhD scientist and having spent a significant part of my career at DARPA, I am dedicated to applying the latest research and advancements to transform women's health. Menopause presents an immense scope for impacting women's long-term health and vitality, and Evernow is at the forefront of this mission. I founded Evernow with two pivotal goals: 1. Guaranteeing every woman, regardless of her location or access, the availability of world-class, affordable care and treatments during perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. 2. Utilizing every ounce of knowledge and data accrued through our services to propel the domain of women's health forward, setting a new standard of care amid a current scenario where the standard is essentially a lack of care. For far too long, women (and their doctors) have been left in the dark about the tremendous health impacts that menopause has on their brains, their bones, their heart and long term health. What you can do: First and foremost, please share this knowledge with every woman that you know. For HR Benefits Leaders: 1. Support your women leaders through enriched health coverage focused on their 40's and beyond for perimenopause and menopause. (https://lnkd.in/g7jMGU_b) 2. Creating a conducive workplace environment to navigate through menopause seamlessly. For Investors and Press: 1. Channeling resources towards responsible initiatives like Evernow that prioritize women’s long-term health. 2. Spotlighting the health narrative that holds the potential for a significant societal impact. Engage with us at evernow.com/business to explore a collaborative pathway towards crafting a supportive ecosystem for women. Together, let’s steer the discourse towards a health-savvy, investor-ready, and employee-centric narrative that prioritizes women’s long-term health and wellbeing. https://lnkd.in/gGP-8UHt

The evidence on HT benefits for brain, bone, heart, metabolic and vaginal health are piling up. So thrilled that this research is getting out there. 1. The earlier HT is started, the more effective it is at protecting your heart and reducing your risk of coronary heart disease. 2. Large, randomized controlled trials suggest that HT delays the onset of type 2 diabetes in women. 3. HT prevents bone loss and reduces your risk of developing osteoporosis and of breaking bones 4. HT prevents vaginal atrophy - when the vaginal walls become thin, dry, and inflamed (leading to painful sex, UTI's, itching and burning). hashtag #womenshealth #menopause

This is phenomenal. So much misinformation about HRT being bad for women’s health when it can bring so much benefit.

The title of this The Wall Street Journal article is pretty misleading- especially for women who don't have access and are just reading the headline. Don't love that. Thanks for the summary!

Great read, thanks for sharing! Not only is Alzheimer's not extremely well understood, taking it in conjunction with menopause and other hormonal changes at large makes it even more mystical to many. This is something that we need to not only be mindful of, but actively work to address moving forward!
