We are happy to announce our 2025 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow, Sarah Razaq Sallis and Pathfinder, Sameer Alifarag! LCLD Fellows have distinguished themselves within their organizations by being deeply engaged, indispensable to key clients and teams, invested in attorney mentoring and professional development, and on a trajectory toward leadership positions. Pathfinders are selected by the leaders at LCLD Member corporations and law firms, having been identified as early-career emerging leaders in their own right who have distinguished—or have the potential to distinguish—themselves within their organizations. Congratulations Sarah and Sameer! #LCLDFellows #Pathfinders https://lnkd.in/eJUsXxUh Learn more about diversity, equity, and inclusion at Eversheds Sutherland by visiting our website. #LCLDFellows #Pathfinders https://lnkd.in/gjR6Qq7c

Created in 2018 by female leaders at the San Diego Police Department to help connect sworn and civilian female professionals, the Women’s Leadership Conference provides opportunities for mentorship, camaraderie, and professional growth. Each session attracts over 100 attendees, and features keynote speakers and the highest-ranking SDPD female officers in attendance. Captain Julie Epperson introduced the conference and was led by keynote speaker, Barb Krol. The session's theme was "Embracing Grace and Space," which emphasized the importance of gaining perspective and having productive conversations during conflict. The Women’s Leadership Conference is part of the Women in Blue Initiative, in which the Police Foundation partners with SDPD to connect women in law enforcement to career advancement opportunities through workshops, conferences, and specialized training; opportunities for networking and mentoring; and events geared to engage the community. #womeninblue #womenleadership #wlc #sdpd #femaleempowerment

The #KPMGBLC sponsored a new report from The Conference Board that showed while corporate boards are more diverse than ever, the share of new Russell 3000 directors who are non-White dropped from 48% in 2022 to 31% in 2024. Boards can take practical steps to optimize board recruitment by seeking director candidate pools that include diverse leaders, and by advocating for programs that develop high-potential diverse leaders for future board service. #corporateboards #boardroomdiversity https://bit.ly/3DnKMkK

Why is an investor speaking on retention strategies? At Marrin, we have deep reverence for people as the true lifeblood of any organization. While cash may be king, it's the people who drive the innovation, creativity, and execution that turn strategies into success. A thriving company isn’t built on financials alone—it’s built on the strength of its culture, where employees feel valued, motivated, and invested in the mission. That’s why we're passionate about retention strategies. When you invest in your people, you’re investing in long-term growth, stability, and ultimately, financial success. As Peter Drucker famously said, "Culture eats strategy for breakfast." And at Marrin, we make sure culture is always on the menu. Thank you to the amazing Kim Brown Goodwin for the chance to co-present at ALA's Executive Leadership Conference. #RetentionMatters #CultureFirst #InvestInPeople Marrin Investment Partners

We had a blast at the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) Executive Leadership Summit in Minneapolis last Saturday, as we discussed retention strategies with this dynamic group of law firm leaders. Our thanks to ALA and the Executive Leadership Committee for the invite. And a special thanks to my brilliant colleague and friend, Leah Berend, CPA. It was so much fun presenting with you!
