But only 61% said they do have a high level of influence. “How faculty perceive, experience and interact with EdTech is critical to the successful integration of technology that improves the student experience,” writes Omid Fotuhi in an article for EdTech Magazine. “When they do not believe they have input into the vetting, selection and adoption of technology, they may be less likely to champion available products to their peers or incorporate products into their teaching practices.” Read the full article to discover four strategies institutions can leverage to bring faculty into the decision-making process: https://lnkd.in/g9GJPVar #edtech #faculty #highereducation

🌐 Transformation of Education in the Digital Era: Exploring Opportunities and Challenges Living in an age where technology unfolds at a rapid pace, we witness its pervasive impact reshaping the fabric of our existence. As a Gen Z advocate, I delve into the profound implications of digitalization on education, scrutinizing the myriad opportunities and challenges it presents. ✅ Opportunities: · Technology has made the world a smaller place. We can now learn from anywhere, because we are no longer limited by physical location. · Online learning offers both flexibility and time saving. · Virtual classrooms and collaborative software make the learning process more creative and innovative. · Digitalization in education enables tailored learning to individual needs, such as through apps that cater to different learning styles. · The traditional education model of one communicator to one receiver is being replaced by a more complex and dynamic system of information flows from multiple sources, such as online resources, educational apps, and social media. 🚩 Challenges: · Digital Divide: Unequal access to technology. This problem is especially relevant for developing countries. · Digital Literacy: In order to use technology effectively and efficiently, it is necessary to master the relevant knowledge and skills. · Traditional teaching evaluation criteria may need to be changed in the digital age, especially when considering student knowledge and performance assessment. · Readiness of the education sector to integrate technological advances into education. · Developing a special curriculum for digital learning. 💭 As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology in the Internet era, it is crucial to seize the many opportunities it offers while also addressing the significant challenges it poses to education. Technology offers boundless potential to revolutionize the way we learn, but it is important to carefully plan to ensure that all students benefit equitably. Educators, policymakers, and students must work together to harness the power of technology to address the challenges it poses. This will require evidence-based policies that create a more inclusive, efficient, and personalized educational experience for everyone. The education sector must be a catalyst for these changes to maximize the benefits of technology and minimize its losses. #ACTexperts ©️ Mariam Kotrikadze
