We’re back! After an unintentional hiatus, the Everything About Hydrogen team is pleased to announce an excellent episode with Arsenio Dominguez, the 10th Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Co-hosts Christopher Jackson, Alicia Eastman and Patrick Molloy discuss decarbonization of shipping, the #IMO, and SG Arsenio’s unique ability to align a large number of member states to reduce shipping emissions without sacrificing #safety or the #justtransition. As this interview was recorded in February, we got to see the SG’s predictions come true at the IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) 81 in London last week. Lauded as a roaring success, the goals outlined in MEPC 80 continue to be refined with unwavering dedication. Thanks Alicia Eastman for bringing the maritime sector into the discussion about #hydrogen. Shipping could become an enabler for the global decarbonisation as well as user.
