The EAH team is excited to release the latest Everything About Hydrogen episode S6:E6 with industry giant Frank Wouters, currently Chairman of #MENA Hydrogen Alliance and Director of the newly established EU MED MED-GEM Network. Have a listen to learn many more acronyms and the space in the #hydrogen market these leading edge organizations are seeking to address. Co-hosts Patrick Molloy, Alicia Eastman and Christopher Jackson enjoyed a wide ranging discussion about offsets and ZETA (Zero Emissions Traders Alliance), programs targeting the global south, and regulations required to accelerate the #energytransition. Thanks as always to the excellent production team despite one dicey connection. 😬 To check out this episode and the entire back catalog, www.eahpod.com serves up the latest show and shownotes on the front page to easily access through Apple, Spotify, Amazon or Google. Check out this very informative podcast. The only criticism for all the hydrogen space I have is that we have to stop saying “the future of” for example Ballard industries has been making and supplying Hydrogen fuel cells for over 20 years. It’s just that now we have come to understand that the only fuel that can replace fossil fuels is Hydrogen. That’s a new understanding and it’s happening now. May I suggest that the language we use might be for example, “how do we accelerate the use and production of hydrogen going forward” yes more wordy but much more accurate then “ the future of”. Enjoy.

Fantastic discussion on the Gulf Intelligence podcast this morning. There is a widening divergence between Chinese state-owned and teapot refinery run rates on maintenance, yields and diesel stocks. Russian refinery rates are at the lowest in 11 months, with repairs slowing down after drone strikes. #OPEC to keep the market in backwardation. Our latest crude balances show deficits of 1.9 million bpd in Q2 and 2.1 million bpd in Q3, considering OPEC not extending their production cuts. US gasoline supply could be under pressure from refinery capacity rationalization and lower conversion margins on elevated medium and heavy sour prices. Sanctions on Iranian barrels are likely to impact Chinese teapot refiners the most, considering 1.0-1.5 million bpd of exports to China. Crude and product trade flows will need to reshuffle considering the regionalized, inefficient markets amid geopolitical tensions.
