Read what Tiso Ltd's Property Director, Iain Calder, had to say about the Airius destratification fan system following installation in their Edinburgh Outdoor Experience retail store: “We installed the Airius system to move air from the high level gallery down to ground floor level. This brought the temperature on the gallery down to a comfortable level during the summer and resolved the cold customer issue in the café throughout the winter. This has now led to the entire AC system being decommissioned with a considerable reduction in electricity consumption. We now consider destratification systems as a key part of our refits and store design for new openings. This helps us achieve improved customer comfort, operating efficiency and contributes towards reducing our carbon emissions. ” Iain Calder - Property Director Tiso Ltd #Airius #Destratification #DestratificationFans #Tiso #TisoLtd #GrahamTiso #Retail #Retailer #OutdoorStore #ClothingStore #RetailOutlet #HVAC #Heating #Cooling #AirConditioning #EnergySaving #EnergyManager #EnergyEfficiency #CarbonFootprint #FacilitiesManager #BuildingManagement #FacilitiesManagement

Up until 1965, Battersea Arts Centre was Battersea Town Hall. Battersea Arts Centre should become Wandsworth Town Hall. It's a better location. The location of Wandsworth Town Hall and the council offices is not the right location. Clapham Junction - which should really be called Battersea Junction - is the heart of Wandsworth, the centre. You want the town hall to be located near to the busiest station in Europe. If you live in Wandsworth, you know that the Battersea is the main hub of the borough. It's not Wandsworth Town. Wandsworth Town is the type of place for shopping malls. It's not a cultural place. It could be a great shopping district with huge supermarkets and megastores but it's not an exciting place. It's a utilitarian type of place. Even where the council is located now could be replaced with a massive shopping mall. Battersea should be the cultural and municipal centre and Wandsworth Town should be the place for the mall. Battersea Arts Centre could move to the Wandsworth Civic Suite. #Wandsworth #Battersea

Retail Property Owners, Do you need more parking? Do you want more parking? Could you lease to more restaurants and fitness and medical if you had more parking? The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation recently rolled out an online survey, to understand and resolve the city’s acute residential parking problems. The survey, apart from seeking information on the current residential parking patterns, also sought suggestions from the residents on how to resolve the issue. It is great to see Navi Mumbai adopt such a participatory approach to an issue that has become a major concern for our streets – parking! ITDP strongly believes in ‘parking management’ but also believes that this subject is often entangled in myths and misconceptions. Resolving these myths is critical for any city before planning and implementing parking management systems. 🚗 🅿 Want to know what these myths are? 🚫 1. Parking is a right 2. Increase parking supply to resolve the parking issue 3. Multi-level car parks can resolve the issue 4. Curtailing parking can hurt commercial businesses 📖 Read this blog which we penned down in 2019, explaining the four common myths people have around parking systems: https://lnkd.in/gWz3w2Ws #NaviMumbai #Parking
