Call for Nominations: ACAP IS 10 YEARS OLD!!!!! Let’s get the word out by creating awareness of ACAP’s 10th anniversary as a networking organization with impact and knowledge by sharing our story. ACAP will highlight 10 sectors that we impact - 10 to note the 10th anniversary of ACAP - and feature stories about people who impact those sectors (about 2-3 per sector). This awareness campaign ends in October and aligns with the next conference. Those highlighted will be ACAP members or other prominent Croatians / Croatian-Americans. Dear early-stage founders, As you can tell, I'm in my conference celebration era. 😎 But real talk, I often hear conversations about how wasteful conferences can be: how they’re all the same, full of peacocking, and lacking in expertise. Telling the VCSE community’s impact story in #perinatalmentalhealth is a vital part of the strategic jigsaw to underpin more sustainable investment in the sector. We know this amazing community is made up of a multitude of services of different shapes and sizes operating across local communities and that the capacity to evaluate service impact is often relative to the size and resources of organisations. This can be an ongoing challenge for smaller VCSEs who are focused on service delivery and it can take time to embed learning. Together, we are navigating how to identify, capture and measure outcomes as our organisations evolve. ************* Hearts and Minds is keen to explore how we might begin to articulate the collective impact of our sector. There's a data gap at a national level, yet there’s no doubt that the third sector plays a pivotal role in an integrated care system. We’ve developed a very simple survey in an attempt to gauge how services are evaluating their impact, or indeed explore where there are gaps in evidence. We fully appreciate how energy is focused on maintaining services in this difficult climate and that we’re all at different stages of development, so this is designed as an honest reflection rather than any kind of expectation of how services should be approaching evaluation. We’re all learning together. If your organisation does currently have monitoring and evaluation methods in place (no matter the size, scale or depth), it would be great if you could complete our survey. Our intention is to carry out some initial scoping work alongside an evaluation partner, to speak with up to eight services from across the community. This will be a starting point to consider if it’s possible to create the foundations for a feasibility study focusing on the impact of our collective work.
