Additionally, I conduct market research to generate innovative ideas aimed at expanding audience reach and enhancing customer loyalty. What impact has the training had on you thus far? What have you learned? I have acquired various editing techniques through training, as well as time management skills and organizational planning. What are the best aspects of your job? The best aspects of my job are the flexibility to work remotely and manage my time independently, while always having the support of my team when I need assistance or have questions. This year, I’ve had the opportunity to work with 9 different brands: 🔹2 as a Virtual Assistant 🔹1 as a Graphic Designer 🔹1 as an Engagement Officer 🔹2 Marketing Agencies as a Social Media Manager 🔹2 Individual Brands as a Social Media Manager 🔹1 as a Marine Biology Intern 🔸2 brands let me go 🔸3 I decided to leave 🔸1 was an internship, and my time was up 🔸1 is a bit complicated I sent out countless job applications this year: 🔹Some led to great opportunities 🔹Some never got a reply 🔹Some ghosted me halfway 🔹One job slipped away because my internet speed test didn’t meet their requirement 🔸I’ve worked with a brand for over 8 months this year. 🔸I’ve worked with another brand for just one month. 🔸I’ve earned six figures in one month from one brand. 🔸I’ve earned as little as ₦5000 in one month from another. So, what am I doing? I’m reflecting on my year, but I’m choosing not to dwell only on the downs. I’m choosing to see the good too. Through it all, I’ve learned valuable lessons from every experience—Whether they worked out or not. Each high and low has shaped my path and made me more adaptable and resilient. As I reflect on my year, I’m choosing not to dwell only on the challenges. There’s always growth to be found in the tough moments, but there’s also power in recognizing the wins—no matter how big or small. It’s easy to get caught up in what didn’t go as planned, but I challenge you right now to INTENTIONALLY shift your focus. Acknowledge the ups, celebrate the wins, and appreciate the journey. So, tell me—what’s your biggest win this year?

From press to graphic design to marketing strategies, I never have a dull day (or minute!). 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: The best thing you can do to explore and advance within the marketing field is to participate in internships. Marketing is very broad - including graphic design, digital marketing, logistics, copywriting and strategy - and the best way to excel is to discover your top talents early in your career.

This week, we’re highlighting one of our Public Relations interns, Zach Nemirovsky! We are constantly impressed by Zach’s hard work and innovation. What skills have you gained from your current internship at TREND? One of the most important skills I’ve learned is how to write and pitch a client to outlets and media publications. The importance of having a skill like this in the entertainment industry is extremely useful, and I’m very thankful to have received guidance from the senior staff on how to do it well. What is your favorite aspect of internship? I look forward to the “ask me anything” meetings with senior staff every week. It has been a great way to practice networking and have casual conversations with business professionals in a controlled environment. It’s also been a fun way to get to know the senior staffers more and build our relationship with them. What inspired you to pursue a career in the music industry? Prior to joining TREND, I didn’t know much about the music industry but understood that having knowledge of its ins and outs would prove useful down the line. The skills learned in PR are highly applicable to many other jobs, and having robust knowledge in various areas makes you highly desirable as an employee. #musicindustry #publicrelations #internship
