I get it, Blackstone is the “preeminent” real estate investment firm, but seriously who actually believes that when you look at their returns!?!?! They burn you on fees, have no real “skin in the game”, and they will just preach macro trend BS to justify their concentrated positions and mediocre returns. I wish all my “fancy” friends who invested in these funds the very best. BUT, seriously you’re investing in brands just like the SHEEP who place capital in the hottest stock. You might as well invest behind “Roaring Kitty”. MEOW, if you want to decide for yourself look at DIRECT INVESTMENTS. Crazy idea…Make a real bet. Based on fundamental analysis of supply and demand. If you can get over the analysis paralysis, you’ll see the true potential in private markets. (And avoid the fees of these pay to play asset managers.) Seriously, the preferred return I offer in a DIRECT INVESTMENT is within 30bps of the Blackstone track record (LOL), and that doesn’t count you’re equity upside!
