It’s nearly our 10th anniversary In the build-up to the celebration, we’ve been working behind the scenes to really hone what it is that makes us who we are: what are our values, our brand mission, brand vision, and ultimately, what’s our brand purpose? We worked with our whole team through a Brand Purpose Workshop, to help give the foundation to build this out, giving us a renewed focus on the next 10 years of Mech Tech. Firstly, our newly defined Brand Values: Courageous Embodying our bold approach to business, we demonstrate our willingness to take calculated risks and make decisive choices in the face of uncertainty. We are depended on by our clients, candidates, and our team, to always make the right decisions for them. Inquisitive Reflecting our culture of curiosity and continuous learning, we stay ahead in our dynamic industries by seeking new knowledge, understanding market trends, and innovating. This helps us to understand those who depend on us, and to adapt, from top-to-bottom. Supportive Our commitment to providing help and assistance to everyone we interact with is paramount. We foster a nurturing environment for our team and offer robust support for clients, candidates, and our team. This ensures that all parties feel valued and aided. We are grounded in collaborative success. Partnership We operate with a strategic approach to relationships, where long-term collaborations are valued over transactional interactions. We build partnerships so that we work closely with clients, candidates, and stakeholders, to achieve mutual goals. Keep your eyes peeled on Monday, as we reveal our newly defined Brand Mission.

Just a few weeks back, I found myself wandering the aisles of LUXEPACK in Los Angeles. It felt a little like stepping back in time, surrounded by long-time industry friends, clients and partners. Our time together, filled with some laughs and engaging conversations, was pretty special. Just a heads up, next year's Luxe Pack will be a tad earlier on February 12-13, instead of our usual Valentine's Day rendezvous. Reflecting on my time at Luxe Pack and Makeup LA, two big thoughts stuck with me: 1. So Many Independent Packaging Pros Around Here Now → What's Happening? Everywhere I turned, there was talk about the surge of packaging consultants popping up in Southern California. It seems brands are slimming down their in-house teams, leaving talented folks to strike out on their own. → The Bright Side and the Bumpy Road: This change is sprouting all sorts of opportunities for teaming up and doing great things together. Yet, it's no secret that wearing the 'boss' hat comes with its own set of adventures and challenges. 2. The Power of Leadership and Its Lasting Impact → Common Roots: A lot of us, myself included, share a chapter in our careers at Bare Escentuals in San Francisco. This got me thinking about how crucial good leadership is to any company, and how it can even shape the entire industry. → Creating Waves: Great leaders don't just steer the ship; they inspire others to set sail on their own journeys, leading to new successes and ventures. It's all about the ripple effect—one strong leader can set off a chain reaction of growth and innovation. These moments at LUXEPACK really highlighted the vibrant industries of beauty and packaging. It's all about staying connected, embracing change, and leading with heart. Thank you for being with me! Can't wait to see where these ripples will take us next! Pardon the water and sailing references - just got back from a family cruise. 😂 #beautybusiness #beautypackaging #luxepack #makeupinlosangeles Danica, Lori, Kevin and Danna!

Founder + Franchisor @urSwim | Tory Burch Fellow | Goldman Sachs 10KSB Graduate | Water Safety Advocate | Former Attorney
3 Takeaways from My Week as a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow 🌟 Community is everything. ✨ Surrounding yourself with supportive networks, both professional and personal, is paramount. Filtering out negativity amplifies productivity and creativity. Stay true to your vision. ✨ External influences shouldn’t alter long-term growth strategies. Since starting my company, I’ve often compared myself to founders who secured external funding, viewing them as more successful. I’ve even doubted my own path. However, learning from successful founders who built large companies without venture capital—utilizing creative financing to fund growth—was incredibly reaffirming. Not all brands have the same path. Compelling stories win. ✨ As founders, we sell unwritten stories. And it can be a challenge to script the narrative and land the brand messaging. This past week has made me reflect on the legacy and impact I want to leave. There’s so much story behind the @urswim brand.

This week marks my 3rd anniversary at Avery Dennison, reflecting as I like to do each year, here are my top three learnings from last year. Growth Mindset in Action: A growth mindset isn’t just a concept—it’s an active practice. It’s not about the books we read; it’s about stepping outside our comfort zones. Imperfect keynotes, pitches, and presentations are growth opportunities. Embrace them, learn, and strive for continuous improvement. Be an Agent of Change: In large corporations, it’s easy to accept the status quo. But relevance and improvement demand questioning the process. Keep asking “why?” until clarity emerges. If change is needed, don’t hesitate—be the catalyst for positive transformation. Choose Your Circle: Surround yourself with greatness. Seek out individuals who embody the qualities you aspire to and absorb them. Diversity matters—learn from people at different stages of their careers. Sometimes, fearlessness comes from unexpected sources. Remember, each day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference. Here’s to many more impactful years ahead! Pete Moylan, Andreas Althoff, Uwe Hennig and Ting Yee-Smith you were my first circle on day 1, three years ago. You do not realise how much each of you helped me in my first 6 months. For that, I am eternally grateful.

Aside from Luxus, the core focus of my every day, I’ve been involved in an exciting project due for launch this Summer. As many of you know, stepping out of your comfort zone is often where the magic happens. As we head towards the launch of our brewing company and first taproom, I found myself embracing an unexpected challenge: a media day and photoshoot to showcase our brand. For someone more comfortable behind the scenes, this was a leap into the unknown. Here's what I learned from this exhilarating experience… Growth Begins at the Edge of Comfort - Posing for photos and speaking to the camera felt daunting at first. But pushing through that discomfort led to a newfound confidence and excitement about sharing our story with the world. Authenticity Connects - The day was filled with candid moments and genuine interactions. By being ourselves, we were able to convey our passion and vision authentically, which will resonate deeply with our audience. Teamwork Shines Bright - Our amazing team came together, showcasing not just our products but the spirit and camaraderie behind them. It was a powerful reminder that success is a collective effort, built on mutual support and shared enthusiasm. Celebrating Milestones - This photoshoot wasn't just about promoting our launch; it was a celebration of how far we've come. Every snapshot captured our journey, the hard work, and the dreams that have brought us here. As we edge closer to opening our doors, I encourage everyone to step outside their comfort zones and seize the opportunities for growth that lie beyond. Whether it's public speaking, a new project, or simply trying something new, the rewards can be truly transformative. Look out for our brand in the future, SG Brewing Co., it’s going to be an exciting journey! We can't wait to welcome customers to our taproom, share our story, and pour you a drink crafted with passion and love. 🍻 Cheers to embracing new experiences and growing together! And special thanks to everyone at Brand Elect and Marketing Elect you guys have been and will continue to be truely awesome! #PersonalGrowth #NewBeginnings #BreweryLaunch #MediaDay #StepOutOfYourComfortZone

The Busch Family & Company Motto = Making Friends Is Our Business. 🤝 On paper, the Busch heirs are worth > 💲13 billion combined. Forbes places them into the top 20 richest families in America. They’re the poster children of the American 🦅 dream where hard work, entrepreneurship, grit, & a positive can-do attitude can make anything possible; an American staple since 1876. 📈 Billy Busch, in the 1st novel written by an heir "Family Reins", believes the most important legacy we can leave this world: 🚸 Children with strong morals & values while contributing positively to society. ✴ Allow future generations to rethink what’s possible for their own future. All his kids know: ▶ There isn’t 1 Clydesdale to hitch your coach to in life. 🐴 ▶ There are a lot of different horses to ride. 🐎 ▶ There are lots of different paths to try. 🛣 ▶ There are a lot of different ways for people to grow & flourish. 🔅 Did you know? During Prohibition, Anheuser-Busch lost most of its competition; they didn’t take this position for granted. They managed to keep all 2k employees working during these tough times! 👏🏻 They established Budweiser as the 👑 King of Beers 🍻 through advertising & creating a brand synonymous with beer. Author's Father always found ways to make more jobs, give back, & create parks where families enjoy themselves. 👨👩👧👦 Anything considered to be tacky or flashy was called “Buschy” back then! Recent happenings with the Busch family? InBev bought Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion...bittersweet moment. 😔 Discussing 2nd season for reality show "The Busch Family Brewed". 📺

Thinking outside the box—literally and creatively✨ As a millennial, I know how challenging it can be to step out of my comfort zone 😅. But every time I do, it leads to something incredible. One tool that consistently pushes me to think outside the box—literally—is LEGO!🧱✨ In recent years, LEGO has become my secret weapon for unleashing creativity 🎨 in the teams and projects I lead.
