Really interesting article from Ericsson here about the #fan experience and fan loyalty to telecoms operators. Some of the stats about how likely a customer is to churn (ie switch to a different network), how repeat attendees to the same location value connectivity (and 5G in particular) as well as what fans/customers tend to use networks in large venues for is all very useful. However, this report to me doesn’t address the key point – its still focused on the MNOs and their relationships with the customers or fans, without taking account of the fact that the experiences are more and more driven or creating value for the venue owners or clubs, not the MNOs.
