On the lookout for a change manager? 🔍 In my experience, an adequate role description will go a long way in attracting the right person and aligning expectations on what he/she will be doing. (Besides of course - having access to experienced and passionate professionals via a specialized recruitment firm like SPRING TODAY💁♀️) → For those who work in change management themselves, this will be a piece of cake. → For those who are merely tasked to recruit change managers, it might feel like a bit of a stretch. Belong to the last group? Swipe left and find out which roles and responsibilities you should probably include in the job description. Note: These may vary heavily depending on the change challenge your organization is facing and its unique cultural dynamics. So let me know if you need any more guidance! #hiring #changemanager #transformation

I have been splitting my time between applying for jobs (No...you don't need my social or blood type...), networking and exploring conversations with business owners as I look for my next step in this crazy market. During discussions with business owners, one of the things I am reminded by is why I love leadership and recruiting. Very few other roles would have given me the knowledge, growth and exposure - not just within industries; but also... Global COE Development Leadership Language / Mindset Workforce Planning + Talent Management Shared Services Technology integration Analytics Organizational Change and Program Management Branding and Marketing Scaled Systems + Process Development Conflict Resolution Negotiation + Sales The list goes on. There is VERY little recruiting does not impact or touch these days. Recruiting gives us a chance to work cross function, embed with teams and work with some of the best leaders in the best companies on the planet. Despite all the challenges, struggles and changes right now - I have NEVER been more energized by my time as a Leader and Talent Acquisition professional, and continue to seek out the best opportunity to align my passion; creating success for organizations, teams and communities. All of this is to say - Talent Acquisition peeps - you have WAY more skills than you may realize! #talentacquisition #leadership #business

In continuation with previous post, before hiring directors, individual contributors (ICs), or program leads, it's crucial to consciously strategize the elimination of administrative and project overheads from their schedules. They shouldn't be burdened with tasks like information curation, sending weekly reports, responding to every email, or constantly routing information. Also, their recruitment is for their technical or strategic leadership expertise, not necessarily for project or program management skills—though they are capable of these tasks. To maximize their effectiveness, support them with a project manager or coordinator. This approach frees up their schedules, allowing them ample "thinking" time and opportunities for one-on-one interactions with their teams. If your leaders are not taking time to teach, mentor, focus on team building and innovation, then you made the wrong hires. Also if your leaders are not blogging or active on socials then they will not be able to attract talent or disseminate values beyond their teams. Again wrong hires. Executives, Directors or Head of orgs who are overwhelmed with meetings, emails, weekly reports, quarterly planning, and metric collection are essentially underutilized, overpaid actors. Their true potential is often stifled by organizational red tape and mundane tasks. #management #growth

What makes a new manager successful? If you're starting a role as a new manager, here are 3 key skillsets you'll want to hone to be successful in your new role in your first 90 days. 1️⃣ Listening: In your first few months managing a new team, you should be doing more listening than speaking. Not only will you be listening to what is being said by your team, cross-functional partners, and leaders, but you'll also need to be listening to what isn't being said. 2️⃣ Clear Communication: Delivering clear messaging to your team is imperative. In a study by Gallup, only 29% of employees strongly agreed that their manager kept them informed about what was happening in their organization. In order for your team to be effective, they need to have access to the information relevant to their work. Clearly communicate strategy and expectations with your team. 3️⃣ Openness to Discomfort: Being a new manager will bring you plenty of discomfort. It's natural to try to avoid that discomfort, but you'll need to take some time to observe and evaluate the status quo. This will oftentimes feel uncomfortable for a variety of reasons: the processes are unknown to you, they don't have your "seal of approval", they don't fit your style, etc. You will undoubtedly bring ideas and processes from previous roles to your new manager role, but resist the temptation to begin implementing right away or assuming that those ideas and processes will be a fit for your new team. In order to learn and help your team grow, you need to understand where they're coming from in order to help them get to where they need to go. NO, NO, NO!! Top management is a NO? Talking points end with NO? Go back to the client (internal or external). Revisit-Rethink-Discuss More. Why? TOP MANAGEMENT buy in "or not" and, more importantly, their genuine or non genuine involvement won't go unnoticed. IT MATTERS. -TRUTH IN LEADERSHIP- Change Management #hiring #networking

Huge misbelief for new managers: Talking to people isn't work. When you start into a people role, you will probably feel like you are getting nothing done. You will spend a lot of time talking to other people. The day is over and you feel like you haven’t done anything. Rethink. Your job has changed. Your job is now to enable people, unblock them, and keep them productive and happy.

🚀 Are you an effective executive? 🌟 In the dynamic landscape of today's business world, effectiveness transcends mere productivity. As Peter F. Drucker eloquently puts it in his timeless work, "The Essential Drucker," being an effective executive means focusing on doing the right things, rather than just doing things right. Gone are the days of industrial-era benchmarks where success was measured in sheer output. Whether you're a seasoned CEO or a dedicated product manager, true effectiveness lies in investing time where it matters most. It's not about the quantity of features you ship but their impact. ⏳ To be truly effective in your role, consider the following: 1️⃣ Identify the Right Users: Invest time in understanding your audience. Who are the users that will benefit most from your offering? Tailor your efforts to meet their needs. 2️⃣ Test Hypotheses and Squash Assumptions: Effectiveness requires a willingness to challenge assumptions. Test your hypotheses rigorously, learn from the results, and be ready to pivot when needed. 3️⃣ Identify the Right Problem: Don't rush into solutions without a deep understanding of the problem at hand. Invest time in identifying the root cause to ensure your efforts address the core issues. 4️⃣ Build the Right Solution: Quality over quantity is key. Take the necessary time to craft solutions that not only meet the immediate needs but also contribute to the long-term success of your organization. 🔍 To truly be effective, ask yourself, "What can I contribute that will significantly affect the performance and results of the organization I serve?" It's about making a meaningful impact and steering your efforts toward endeavors that drive real, sustainable growth. In today's fast-paced world, being an effective executive means embracing the deliberate, thoughtful process of doing the right things. Let's shift our focus from rapid output to impactful outcomes. #EffectiveLeadership #BusinessEffectiveness #LeadershipJourney
