DOCTOR/PHYSICIAN/RESEARCHER/DIABETOLOGIST/FAMILY MEDICINE SPECIALIST/PHARMACOLOGIST Assistant Professor at Assam Medical College & Hospital, Consultant Physician and Diabetologist at Duliajan
Is a talk in a conference the same as a class? Very often while doing class distribution the senior faculties are allotted the difficult classes. Why? Because it is assumed that they are more experienced and hence will be more suitable to do justice to the class. But is it really so? Very rarely we have seen someone improving his or her oration skills along with designation and age. If someone just reads out the slides during his or her assistant professor days, the same continues to his or her professor days as well. (There is no incentive to improve). And if someone is good, he or she will be good in presentation even during his or her PG days as well. Is a talk in a conference the same as a class? Well no. In conference we want to know something which is not in the books, something which is not available in the Google/ SlideShare PPTs, something which the speaker has learnt from his or her experience in that subject matter. We don't want to know what's written somewhere else. But sadly that's what is seen in the majority of the mediocre Conferences

This year's theme is the 'Future Human' where the speakers are tasked with exploring the future potential of the human experience…both as a description of what humanity might be capable of in the future and what each of us might do to accelerate this goal now. At the conference you can expect to experience moments that deeply resonate with the speakers and more importantly, fellow attendees. You will also gain insight into how to sustain these state experiences. If you are new to integral, look for the pre conference workshop for beginners. Here is a link to a description of a resonating state experience I had in Europe in 2018 that changed the direction of my research and personal growth. It is called Unforgettable Encounters https://lnkd.in/gjGvB8np Here is the link to early bird registration for this life changing encounter. I look forward to sharing those energetic, moments of “We” with you. WeAreICON.org …where the profound wisdom of spirituality meets the analytical prowess of science. …where the essence of nonduality blends with the pursuit of social impact. …where a “Theory of Everything”(Wilber, 2000) bridges the myriad dimensions of the human experience and knowledge.

Today's international conference was a whirlwind of excitement, sparked by a casual nudge from my esteemed former boss, who slyly suggested, "Hey, why not submit your abstract?" With a shrug and a dash of spontaneity, I took the plunge and hit that submit button, not fully realising the rollercoaster ride I was about to embark on. The news of my abstract's acceptance hit me like a lightning bolt—cue the happy dance and the sudden urge to perfect every presentation detail. From crafting slides to practising my spiel in front of the mirror (and my daughters), the days leading up to the conference were a frenzy of preparation. And then, the big day arrived! Armed with a cup of coffee (or three) and a healthy dose of nerves, I took to the stage to share my research with the “world”. The adrenaline rush as I clicked through my slides was electric, but the real magic happened during the Q&A session. There's something oddly satisfying about fielding questions from academics, like being thrown into an intellectual arena where wit and wisdom reign supreme. As queries came flying in, I felt like a scholarly superhero, ready to tackle any challenge thrown my way. With a mix of humour, humility, and a sprinkling of data-driven brilliance, I navigated through the maze of inquiries like a boss. In those moments, amidst the laughter and the lively banter, I realised something profound—I wasn't just presenting my research; I was owning it. With each question answered and every insight shared, I felt like a true maestro of my academic domain, conducting a symphony of ideas that resonated with my audience. Today, I didn't just attend a conference; I embarked on a journey of academic discovery that left me feeling inspired, invigorated, and ready to take on whatever research challenges come my way. Pardon the drama, I am hyped up 💃 💃
