📸 EX3 Labs Project Profile - Helping Englewood Envision the Future Through Generative A.I. & Augmented Reality The Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce held an event for developers, patrons, residents and local leaders to unveil the winners of a community-driven design contest titled “69th Reimagined”. Harnessing the power of generative A.I., participants reimagined the vacant lots on 69th Street in Chicago's Englewood community, through a simple narrative description. That text was turned in to a prompt that powered a Generative A.I. image. Each image was voted on and three winners were chosen. Seeing is Believing - Envisioning the Future Through Augmented Reality With the help of EX3 Labs, the images were turned into 3D models that attendees could experience through a web-based augmented reality app. When users hovered their phones over a vacant lot on 69th street, the life-sized model would appear. I think a lot of folks can drive down the street and see everything from vacant lots to boarded up buildings but to me, those are all opportunities for us to build a better future for not just today's dreamer, but for tomorrow's dreamers as well." - Jason Edgecombe Jr , EX3 Labs A BIG shout-out to Felicia Slaton Young, MBA , Jordan Bester and the entire Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce team, Steven E. Shaw, Jason Edgecombe Jr, Elsi Ramos, Karina Argüello, Adam Wisniewski and Tony Silva for their tremendous work on the project.
