If you missed it last week, we’re pleased to share that drone technology pioneer BRINC announced a partnership with our team to combine our advanced MESA® ground-based radar technology with BRINC’s purpose-built Drone as First Responder (DFR) solution. The partnership enables a path toward beyond-visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations without visual observers, creates advanced airspace awareness for safer operations and lowers the barrier to entry for public safety agencies looking to start or expand DFR programs. The implementation of our radars will also add a layer of safety and reliability, providing BRINC’s customers a path forward to meet the stringent Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for BVLOS operations without a visual observer. “Echodyne radars have been used for years by UAS centers of excellence, as well as FAA and NASA testing programs,” said @Eben Frankenberg, Echodyne CEO. “DFR represents a unique opportunity to introduce widescale BVLOS operations, and radars are the ideal sensor to provide detailed and accurate airspace situational awareness.” Read the full press release here >>> https://lnkd.in/gSVMT_nK #DronesForGood #UAS #PublicSafety #LawEnforcement #DFR #Radar #BVLOS

🇮🇳 #ISRO is poised to take a significant step forward in its Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) programme with the third and final landing experiment (RLV LEX). The mission aims to further ISRO's efforts towards developing cost-effective and efficient space travel technologies, Firstpost has reported. The RLV-LEX missions involve releasing an unmanned winged prototype, named Pushpak, from a designated height to land safely under various conditions. In the upcoming LEX-03 mission, Pushpak will be lifted to a height of 4.5 kilometres and positioned 500 meters to one side of the runway using an Indian Air Force Chinook helicopter before being released. This is an increase from the LEX-02 mission, where the lateral distance was 150 meters.

Underwater drones are changing the game for coral reef research. 🌊 Are there synergies between the Defense Industrie? Scientists at OIST, in an exciting collaboration with NTT Communications, are leveraging state-of-the-art underwater drones to collect eDNA from mesophotic corals. Imagine the potential applications for defense and public safety operations. The same technologies enabling researchers to dive deeper and uncover the secrets of our oceans can be adapted to enhance maritime security, monitor environmental changes, and even assist in search and rescue missions. Let's dive in and discover what else lies beneath the surface. Read more about this groundbreaking research here: [https://lnkd.in/dfhhWe_h) The future of exploration and security might just be underwater. Check this out: https://lnkd.in/dUicASCC

According to a recent Pentagon report, there is no evidence that UFO sightings have been extraterrestrial spacecraft, nor is there evidence of a government coverup regarding alien activity. This comprehensive investigation, which examined both classified and unclassified archives dating back to 1945, aimed to address public and congressional curiosity about unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), the official term for UFOs. Despite decades of speculation and various theories, the report concluded that most UAP sightings can be attributed to ordinary objects like drones, birds, or misidentified experimental technologies. Additionally, claims of the government possessing and reverse-engineering alien spacecraft were dismissed, attributed to misidentifications of sensitive national security projects. This report, prepared for Congress, represents the Pentagon's most extensive effort to clarify what the government knows about UAPs, reinforcing that no verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial beings or crafts has been found by any investigatory effort.

House lawmakers have introduced a bipartisan bill to expand NASA's ACERO program, which utilizes advanced aviation technologies like drones for wildfire prevention and response. The proposed legislation, backed by Reps. Mike Garcia (R-Calif.) and Jennifer McClellan (D-Va.), aims to enhance the coordination of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles during wildfire incidents. It also mandates the development of a unified airspace management plan, incorporating insights from federal, state, and local officials along with industry and academic experts. This move is set to position the U.S. as a leader in innovative wildfire mitigation, providing substantial support to firefighters and improving emergency response times, particularly in challenging conditions like night operations or remote areas. #nasa #acero #wildfireprevention #drones #aviationtechnology #bipartisan #legislation #emergencyresponse #firefightersafety #innovation Source- https://lnkd.in/eCj5EKdT
