Team USA’s gold medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics, led by Stephen Curry and LeBron James, is a powerful example of what hard work, confidence, and teamwork can achieve. This victory wasn’t just about talent; it was about relentless preparation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to trust in the collective effort. As a recruiter, I see these same qualities in the candidates I work with every day. Finding the right fit isn’t just about matching skills to a job description—it’s about identifying those who bring a deep commitment to growth, the confidence to take on challenges, and the drive to contribute to a team’s success. For those seeking new opportunities or considering a career switch, remember that employers value the same attributes that make champions in any arena: dedication, hard work, and the ability to rise to the occasion. Just like Team USA, your success lies in your preparation, your belief in yourself, and your readiness to make an impact. Here’s to all of you who bring your best every day. Keep striving, keep growing, and know that your hard work and resilience is what sets you apart. #TeamUSA #Recruitment #WorkEthic #CareerGrowth #Leadership #Paris2024 #JobMarket #CareerConfidence #LaborMarket #Economy https://lnkd.in/gSjiHq9F

Much wisdom about teams/leadership in 3:34. Sports metaphors can be an awkward fit in business – yet these principles are part of the foundation of all true teamwork. • “You have to have some level of 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆.” • “There are no individual accolades [when we win.] It’s got to be a 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 effort and a collective accolade.” • “We would create 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 for our team of how we were going to live together.” • “You have to 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 to me that you will do anything we ask to win the gold medal. And they did.” • “The main thing we should ‘make too much of’ is how we [are ging to win] and 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘂𝗽 in all the other stuff.” • “You have to blank out all the other opinions and say, ‘What’s 𝗼𝘂𝗿 opinion?’ Not 𝗺𝘆 opinion.” • “Be a team of 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀. What are we going to do? What’s our mission?” #teams #teamwork #servantleadership #standards https://lnkd.in/euNH3Cuz

A team comprised largely of youthful talents serves as a testament to the value of investing in people. Senior players leading by example not only demonstrate exemplary behavior but also set the standard for excellence. Clear expectations for everyone’s roles foster cohesion and accountability. When all team members align their efforts toward a common goal, under the guidance of a leader who believes in them and fosters positive engagement with stakeholders and customers, success becomes inevitable. Ultimately, it’s about delivering results through collective effort and shared vision. Lessons for us all right here. 👏🏻 👏🏻 #excellence #liverpool #winners #winnersmindset #deliverresults #investinpeople https://lnkd.in/e7V8kN-i

🏆 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 In football, it’s not just the star players who win the game—it’s the entire team working together, each playing their role to perfection. The same applies to our careers. Success is rarely achieved alone; it’s the result of collective effort, shared vision, and mutual support. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀: Just like a football team’s goal is to win, a team’s shared purpose drives motivation and commitment. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: In football, players rely on each other’s strengths. At work, collaboration enhances creativity and problem-solving. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿: In both football and business, victories are sweeter when celebrated as a team. As we enjoy the football season, let’s remember that every goal scored and every victory won is a testament to the power of teamwork. Increasing the Emotional Intelligence (EQ) of Business Leaders & Teams to Reduce Turnover, Optimize Culture, Boost Morale, and Increase Productivity
Every time I read Global Engagement Reports, I admit I groan at the mountains that must be moved in order to transform workplace culture. The data: * A study of 19,346 full-time & part-time employees across 19 countries found only 16% of employees are fully engaged. * According to Gallup, 82% of managers aren't very good at leading people. * 40% of current frontline leaders do not feel equipped to lead well. * 50% of leaders don't believe they have enough emerging leaders to meet the future demands of their organization. * 33% of organizations don't have sufficient leaders for today. Today, instead of dwelling on the deficiencies, let's look around us for those who are doing things well; who have vision, work ethic, care deeply for others, and believe they can make a difference in the world. Let's be the leaders we want to see. Even if we have to look for a fur friend for inspiration. Take one minute to watch this. I promise the #enthusiasm, #passion, and #willtowin will make you smile. https://lnkd.in/eKHH4TUm

While watching the England vs. Denmark match, which ended in a 1-1 draw, I was struck by an invaluable lesson in leadership. The England team, filled with superstars like Kane, Bellingham, Trent, Foden, Saka, and Walker, faced a Danish team comprised of players who might be considered B stars at best. Yet, the way the game unfolded was a masterclass in effective teamwork. This game underscored a crucial point: you don't need an army of superstars to succeed. What you need is a team that operates as a unit, where each member understands their role and works together towards a common goal. Who knew that the secret to success wasn't just about having all the football stars you can name? In the workplace, the best teams mirror this dynamic. Success isn’t about having the most talented individuals; it’s about fostering a cohesive environment where every team member collaborates seamlessly. It's about recognizing that each role, no matter how small, contributes to the bigger picture. Remember, even the Aunty who makes your coffee, plays a part! Leadership is about building this kind of culture—one where the emphasis is on collective success rather than individual glory. Just like the Danish team, where every player contributed to the outcome, successful teams in the workplace thrive when everyone is aligned, engaged, and committed to the team’s objectives. So, next time you’re building your team, don’t just look for the Kanes and Bellinghams of the world. Sometimes, a well-coordinated team of "B stars" can give even the most glittering squads a run for their money. After all, it’s teamwork that makes the dream work. #Leadership #Teamwork #Success #WorkplaceCulture #EnglandVsDenmark #LessonsFromSports #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork
