🌟 Are You Ready to Elevate and Level Up Your Career? 🌟 Seven years ago, I made a life-changing decision. I chose to use my talents differently, seeking time freedom, financial independence, and the ability to express myself creatively. I wanted to collaborate with people and organizations that shared my values. I wanted to make more money and have a greater impact because I believe deeply in the transformative power of education. Starting an educational consulting business was the embodiment of my dreams. Was it easy? No. But was it worth it? Absolutely yes. Now, I want to show you how you can achieve the same. If you're willing to take a short break this summer, whether you fly or drive, join me for three transformative days at the #1 Educational Consulting Conference, July 12-14 at the Ritz-Carlton in St. Louis, Missouri. 📚 Unlock the Possibilities Often, we're so entangled in our daily routines—juggling school, family, and endless tasks—that we miss the opportunities around us. Opportunities for easier, more fulfilling ways to earn a living are right in front of you, but fear holds many back. The fear of losing what's familiar can blind you to the security and benefits you could create for yourself. 💡 Overcome Fear with Knowledge At the conference, I will guide you through understanding that there's another way. It's 2024, and there are countless avenues to success that don't require decades. Consider the stories of people who've rapidly changed their lives by sharing their unique perspectives and skills. That's what consulting is about—leveraging your accumulated expertise and sharing it with those who can benefit from it. ✈️ Take the Leap Come and join me. Let me help you see that it's not just possible, but it will be worth it. Bet on yourself. Think of those like Reesa Teesa, who became an overnight sensation by simply daring to share her story on TikTok. You have your story, your expertise. It’s time to share it and transform not just your life but those of others. 🌐 Secure Your Spot Don’t let another year pass wishing you had started today. Make the decision to step into your power. Click the link to register now and start your journey at the Level Up & Elevate conference! https://lnkd.in/gMXemTjn

Was it what I expected? Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect—or what I wanted... 🤔 After leaving full-time education in July 2023, I’m now 14 months into my career. The reflections captured in the below, though a bit lighthearted, reflect what many recent graduates might feel. Last week, I had the privilege of being invited as a panellist by Dorset Chamber for the #DorsetBusinessFestival Conference on 'Business as a Force for Good'. Our panel, Gen Z, Alpha and Beyond: Their Future in Our Hands, explored the next generation's role in shaping the future. It’s not always easy to admit when you don’t have it all figured out. There’s often pressure on graduates to have a clear path, but the reality is that it’s okay to still be discovering your direction. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the last six months—both professionally and personally—is to ease that pressure. It’s about recognising the value in every experience, no matter how big or small. We’re now living in a world where comparisons are at our fingertips, and I believe it’s harder to be content with what you have. Seeing peers on social media achieving what seems like more can create a pressure to keep up. It’s important to remember that everyone’s path is different, and success looks different for each of us. In truth, it’s okay to not have all the answers. Many of us are still discovering our passions, and that’s part of the journey ✨

I'm not sure any more; as I approach my 50th year, it strikes me harder than ever that I really don't truly 'know' anything and indeed, I likely never will. I don't think this is a bad thing, by the way. A lifetime of design, creativity and strategic testing of hypotheses has left me in a happy state of uncertainty. Watching unexpected events unfold; seeing black swans land on the lake of our lives; and understanding the transience of anything we may temporarily hold dear is instructive. What got us here, won't get us there. I guess I'm writing this because I've just been to a conference. Conferences run on certainty and expertise. People get up in front of the crowd and impart wisdom and knowledge and learning. They espouse systems and processes. They project tentpoles of tenacity. I tend to react badly to this version of the prophet-industrial complex. I've always been suspicious of received wisdom. The status quo brings me out in hives. Give me, instead, a state of eternal openness, reflexive questioning and never, ever, laying claim to expertise. Knowledge is great but it's not something to boxed up, preserved in aspic and presented as a fait accompli. It's something to be applied going forwards, to be prodded and poked and revised constantly. What got us here, won't get us there. Further to that, don't put any stock in anything I've just said. There's nothing in it.

I must admit, with the countdown to TWO graduations (😳‼️) in full swing, I have spent more time dancing around the calendar rather than actually meeting up with folks virtually or in person. And that’s okay. Because I want to be able to engage fully with my friends and colleagues, not stressed about whether I’ll have to cancel our coffee date for some last minute thing that really does need to be done RIGHT NOW! That doesn’t mean that I’m just ignoring my people — no way! New coffee chats (in person or virtual) are getting pushed to June if there’s not a deadline attached to the meeting. My collaboration projects are finishing up and getting scheduled this week so they don’t go cold in the next two weeks. And there have still been plenty of opportunities to connect “in the moment”— responding to emails and DMs, sending congratulatory notes and well wishes via social media posts, supporting a client’s child trying to get a scholarship, taking a call for a reference check for another former client. There has still been plenty to do and still getting to nurture my relationships and support my people in the process. My mantra for the month: building solid relationships and networking doesn’t have to be hard or complicated. But it does have to be genuine and authentic to be effective longterm. Have you had to cancel a catch-up meeting or call due to a full schedule? Don’t miss the opportunity to follow up and reconnect later at a better time. You won’t regret it! #professionalrelationships #networkingtips #authenticnetworking #careerstrategies #careerconnections #careertransition #attorney #lawyer #operations #executivedirector #businessconnections #businessnetworking #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipgrowth #professionaldevelopment #executivecoach #leadershipcoach #authenticnetworkingstrategist
