Wow. This ad truly hits home. If the home is an archaic cave from the 2nd century BCE. A standing ovation for our invincible talent of turning mothers into exquisite martyrs and celebrating their miseries. Because, really, what's a woman's worth if she's not sacrificing herself at the altar of everyone else's convenience? Let's measure her empowerment by the number of times she ignores her well-being to make life easier for everyone else. Then glorify the trails of blood and sweat she leaves behind while struggling to lift the burden of a society that failed her *and* finding her autonomy by using #SheCanCarryBoth. After all what's more empowering than jeopardizing your unborn child’s safety for enabling a few undisciplined brats who don’t know how to take responsibility for their actions? The cherry on the cake – let's glorify that last month of pregnancy when risking life and limb is just a small price to pay for a few claps and some pity tears. And what better brand to promote this new norm than the one that sells pregnancy test kits? They could have empowered a rape victim by timely detecting pregnancy but no - society isn’t decided on what to feel for rape victims and abortions. Let’s not make them uncomfortable. Besides, why actually *help* a woman? We have to keep pushing the already sky-high bar higher. If they aren’t already dying of guilt for not sacrificing enough that is. And don't we all love a woman who feels responsible for other’s failures? I mean, we have used her as the scapegoat for centuries. This should be a default trait in her by now. She should question her sanity for having healthy boundaries. Psychologists have been screaming at the top of their lungs that people-pleasing is a sickness that can trigger autoimmune diseases. But that doesn’t apply to superhumans. A woman is someone who *does not* challenge us to grow into accountable adults. There is a reason we are dismissive of mental health and emotional labour - we don’t want to give her a potential excuse to stop all the free fixing, counselling, pleasing, nurturing, empathizing, and basically, being the human equivalent of a doormat. Today’s Women's empowerment is nothing but centuries-old misogyny with a modern makeover, the bad Botox kind. Gaslighting women into thinking that Women's empowerment = Everyone else’s empowerment at her expense. By her choice! Remember how we glorified harassment in movies? We made the victim smile through it all. And yeah, what better day to this on than, you guessed it, Women’s Day! #tonedeaf #womenempowerment #toxicpositivity #womensday #internationalwomensday

This emotionally charged narrative follows a pregnant teacher who defies conventions, continuing to teach her students until the last moment, emphasizing the incredible strength women possess in balancing both career and motherhood. 👩🏫 Honoring Women's Strength: The power of this campaign lies in its ability to celebrate and honor the multifaceted nature of women. By showcasing a pregnant teacher dedicating herself to her profession and successfully delivering a healthy baby, #SheCanCarryBoth challenges societal norms and recognizes the inherent strength women bring to every aspect of their lives. 🌐 Connecting with the Audience: Such emotionally resonant campaigns go beyond mere product promotion; they connect with the audience on a profound level. In an era where consumers seek authenticity, brands that craft narratives reflecting real-life struggles and triumphs establish a deeper connection. Prega News, through this campaign, not only advertises its product but also champions a cause that resonates with its target audience. 🌍 Spreading Awareness and Positivity: Advertising has the power to influence societal perceptions, and campaigns like #SheCanCarryBoth contribute positively to cultural dialogue. By portraying women as capable and resilient, it challenges stereotypes and fosters a more inclusive mindset. Brands taking up the mantle of social responsibility contribute to creating a world where kindness and understanding flourish. 🤝 Brands as Agents of Change: In a world saturated with advertising noise, brands that choose to be agents of change stand out. Did you know that approximately 1 in 20 pregnant women report using illicit drugs during pregnancy? This alarming statistic highlights the importance of providing support and resources for expecting mothers who may be struggling with substance abuse. It's crucial for healthcare professionals and communities to come together to address this issue and ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby. By raising awareness and offering non-judgmental support, we can help reduce the number of expecting mothers who overdose each year. Let's work together to create a safe and supportive environment for all mothers-to-be. #supportexpectingmothers #endthestigma #healthymothershealthybabies

It is almost Mother's Day so let's talk about moms. In the U.S., there’s a striking gap in the time and resources allocated towards pregnancy versus the postpartum period. While a woman might visit her OBGYN 10-15 times during pregnancy, she’ll typically only visit once during the postpartum period. And while it’s commonplace for an expectant mother to take a birth education class, it is virtually unheard of for her to receive postpartum education. 88% of women feel unprepared to navigate the postpartum period. In New Zealand, after giving birth, moms can stay at a local birthing center, free of charge, where they will receive one-on-one care for them and their babies. In South Korea, eight out of 10 new mothers will stay at care centers, or a Joriwon, after giving birth. If you are pregnant, what can you do for YOU in your postpartum period? Can you ask for additional support in cleaning from family and friends? Can you setup meal delivery? #mentalhealth #therapy #wellness #postpartumcare #momsmatter
