Senior Payment Partnerships Manager | Specialized in iGaming and FinTech Payment Solutions | 8+ Years of Successfully Onboarding 100+ PSPs
🌟 Job Opportunity: Senior Underwriting Specialist 🌟 There we go again .... our team is growing and I am looking for a fresh addition to the squad. If you want a cushy 9-to-6 where you can coast along, this isn’t the job for you. If you are the "go getter" type that isn’t afraid to ruffle some feathers to get things done—then keep reading. 🔍 Position: Underwriting Specialist/Senior Underwriting Specialist 🏢 Department: Online Payments 🌐 Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (OFFICE BASED) What you’ll be doing (and why it matters) ✔You’ll be the go-to expert for filling out merchant application forms. This is not just paperwork; it's a crucial step in onboarding the next big payment partner. ✔You’ll be the bridge between our external payment partners and internal departments. You’re not just relaying information; you’re making sure both sides speak the same language, and pushing back when things get stuck. ✔Let’s be real—working in payments isn’t all smooth. Issues will pop up, and when they do, we need someone who can think on their feet, juggle multiple tasks, and keep everything on track. Why this role is different (and why you’ll love it) ✔No Hand-Holding: We believe in empowering our people. You’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, the responsibility to own your work, and the freedom to innovate. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t need micromanaging—someone who can see the big picture and take action. ✔This isn’t your typical underwriting role. You’ll have a direct impact on the company’s growth by onboarding new payment partners. When we close a deal, it’s because you made it happen. ✔We don’t believe in “just following procedures.” Sure, guidelines exist for a reason, but innovation often means bending the rules (just don’t get us into legal trouble!). If you think outside the box and challenge established processes, you’ll thrive here. What we’re looking for ✔Attention to Detail: If you’re the type who catches typos in a contract and spots discrepancies before they become issues — you’re exactly who we need. ✔Communication Skills: You’re the middle man (or woman). You need to be crystal clear, whether you’re talking to tech teams, legal teams, or C-suite execs. If you can simplify the complex and make it understandable, you’ve got this. ✔Experience Matters: We’re not asking for a long list of credentials, but experience in underwriting, online payments, or a related field will definitely give you an edge. If you’ve dealt with merchant onboarding or worked with payment providers, you’re already ahead of the game. If you or someone you know might be interested, just send me a DM. #hiring #jobopening #underwriting #payments #joboffer #sofia #bulgaria #candidatessearching

I recently had a conversation with a colleague that brought back memories from my early days at Citi. He reminded me of a funny moment: "Remember when you emailed the CFO of CitiMortgage asking for a budget so you could get two monitors?" I laughed and said, "I do, and I still think my logic was sound." It's hard to imagine any support staff working without at least two monitors today. Danny Chang I hope I didn't cause too many headaches back then. Reflecting on that conversation and my various experiences over the past decade, I've realized that the major technological advancements in our industry have mostly been geared toward sales. Since 2018, I’ve participated in over 500 recruiting meetings, both as the recruit and the recruiter. The agenda typically follows a familiar pattern: How is your product and pricing? What do you use for your POS? What do you use for your LOS? What pricing engine do you use? What CRM do you support? How is your loan process? Notice that the question about the process often focuses on workflow rather than technology, except for the LOS aspect. Even then, it’s mainly about getting a loan into the system rather than how to underwrite or process it effectively. Over the years, the answers have evolved but generally include: Blend, Floify, or a similar online app for POS. Encompass or a proprietary system for LOS, with Arive on the broker side. Optimal Blue (OB) or Polly in recent times for pricing engines. Total Expert, Usherpa, or Salesforce-based CRMs. Operations-wise, we see e-signature disclosures, electronic document delivery via DocMagic, and some lenders offering Remote Online Notary (RON). For underwriters and processors… well, we might provide three 40-inch monitors. And now, the latest phenomenon: AI, which might eventually dominate all these areas. It’s not that no technology exists to support underwriters and processors, but comparatively, there's much less emphasis on it than on sales-oriented tools. In fact recently Brian Vieaux posted about a bundle for sales. Our industry is notoriously vulnerable to market fluctuations, leading to significant hiring sprees and unfortunate reductions. It would be beneficial to develop a more sustainable model and structure to minimize disruption during these cycles. How do we achieve this? By investing in technology that supports those most affected—underwriters and processors—allowing them to thrive in good times and remain secure during downturns. As Robert Herjavec said, "Sales is the lifeblood of any business," and I completely agree. But perhaps we could allocate just a little more of our resources to bolster our underwriting and processing teams. My experiences only extend to the technology I was exposed to so if anyone out there has other worthy tech I didn't mention, apologies in advance and please share them with us!

10 Years of customer service. 2 years (billing processor ) rebuilding instance policies for member bill to reflect correctly. 5 Years with Medicare background experience. From schedule documents appointments , Enrollments , RSVP for seminars, Sales , etc 2 Years in Financial Services. Vault custodian/ Teller. Responsible for all cash that is shipped and received in branch. Build house hold growth . With up selling accounts that best suit customer. Review accounts for green prints for financial assistance for customer that need guidance on how to manage, budget , save , and invest their money. With the handful of experience I have I’m still getting turned down from left to right. Job searching is becoming more and more discouraging. The more research I do the more I learn that job hunting isn’t looking for employees anymore … it’s more like blind dating. I’ve changed my resume 6 times . Looking for the correct key words . Use the correct formats . Don’t make it pretty . Don’t use too many lines . Write a summary, don’t write a summary. Put your address , don’t put your address . Use key words to you won’t be over looked . Don’t make your resume to lengthy or wordy . I’ve read so many do’s and don’t I’m afraid to even apply anymore.
