🌍 The Future of Data Centers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia: A Regional Powerhouse The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (#KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (#UAE) are at the forefront of the Middle Eastern #datacenter market, boasting a combined total of 46 co-location facilities as of early 2024. The demand for multi-tenant data centers is skyrocketing, driven by rapid digital transformation and increasing data consumption across the region. This surge is paving the way for modular construction solutions, which are proving to be highly effective in meeting the region's escalating requirements. From an investment standpoint, KSA is emerging as a key destination, with 22 active co-location facilities and more than 40 under construction. Riyadh, Jeddah, KAEC, and Dammam are becoming focal points for data center development, attracting major global and regional players such as e& UAE, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle, Google and Microsoft. Looking ahead, the Middle East's (#MEA) data center market is set to double by 2030, driven by population growth and increasing data demand. This trajectory makes the region one of the most exciting and dynamic landscapes for data center development globally. As we witness this transformation, it’s clear that the UAE and KSA will continue to dominate, setting the pace for innovation and expansion in the industry. #MiddleEast #SaudiArabia #UAE #DigitalTransformation #investments

The expansion of the data center industry in Saudi Arabia has been remarkable. Data centers play a vital role in the Kingdom's technological progress and economic diversification during a significant digital transformation. The advanced facilities are essential for the nation's digital infrastructure and allow corporations, government agencies, and organizations to securely store, process, and access huge amounts of data. “Riyadh Cloud Data Center Development” Oracle in February 2023 announced its intention to create a third public cloud region in Saudi Arabia in response to the increasing demand for its cloud services. The new cloud region will be situated in Riyadh and is a component of Oracle's planned investment of USD 1.5 billion to enhance cloud infrastructure capabilities in the Kingdom. The Oracle Cloud Riyadh Region will be added to the current Oracle Cloud Jeddah Region and the upcoming Oracle Cloud Region in NEOM. Oracle has incorporated this investment in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to assist Saudi Arabian firms in utilizing the most recent advancements in cloud technology. In July 2023, Center 3 successfully finished a 9.6 MW expansion of its Riyadh data center. The expansion was specifically designed to fulfill the demanding specifications of global hyperscalers. Oracle plans to build a 60 MW capacity data center by 2026. #Riyadh #SaudiArabia #Technology #Vision2030 #GigaProjects #Projects #KSAProjects #PCS
