Day 2 at the Reuters Automotive Europe 2024. Onca again great insight, interview with Hyundai (Andreas-Christoph Hofmann) Volkswagen (Arno Antlitz) and Renault Italy (Raffaele Fusilli ) really shed some light at the different struggles of the current transition all automotive OEMs are facing. I take back a couple of potentially great ideas thanks to Wegrow (Elena Rodet 🌎 ) and Hive MQ (Diana Böttcher ). Let’s see if we can make something happen here. But the main take away so far is the interest in the market entries of the Chinese EV OEMs and their current competitive advantages. Therefore I am planning to focus on them on my next series. Impact of the CN EV OEMs on the landscape. What are your thought on chapter you would like to read about? Drop them below. 👇

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to chat with BNN Bloomberg’s Jon Erlichman about the future of GM in the Canadian auto industry. It’s a fitting time, too, with the Canadian International Auto Show kicking off in Toronto today. Our entire portfolio of gas-powered vehicles and nine EVs will be on display across the show floor. GM Canada’s role in the automotive industry goes well beyond our incredible products – we are building an entire ecosystem to support GM’s vision of an all-electric future. Canada is unique, because we have all the pieces of the automotive puzzle, right here. From software development, R&D and testing, processing raw materials, developing robust supply chains, and manufacturing the vehicles of today and tomorrow, we are invested in all parts of the Canadian auto economy. We are proud of how Canada makes GM better – but in so many ways, GM makes Canada better, too. And there’s plenty more we can do together. https://lnkd.in/geb8JrxT

A great example of an industry that uses what they learned within one section of an organization and that information or technology is used in another part of the organization would be the automotive industry. A car part developed for an Audi might be used in other cars such as VW, Porsche, and many other car brands. As an organization what we can always ask ourselves is what we have learned within one section of the organization. Where else can this be implemented and how can it improve other sections of an organization to the benefit of both us and the client?
